Yasuharu Takanashi is starting to become one of favorite composer after Kow Otani, Kouhei Tanaka, Toshihiko Sahashi and few others.

Thanks and also are you planning to rip into flac?.

Sure. If there is demand for it I would.

Yeah, Yasuharu Takanashi quickly became one of my favourite composers too. I also love Hideki Taniuchi's scores.

I remember watching the show...but I don't remember the music at all...that'll soon change, though. :) Thank you very much for uploading these two OSTs. It's greatly appreciated! xD

I hope they will be more demand then. :)

The only score i heard of Hideki Taniuchi is Real Drive. Wanted to hear Death Note score. Wish i had more time though.

I'll post the lossless versions next week ;)

The only score i heard of Hideki Taniuchi is Real Drive.

He only did half the score. He was responsible for the electronic parts which were awesome.
The orchestral parts are by Toshihiro Hirano. They are extremely boring imho.

Wanted to hear Death Note score.

You should. It's great. Half of the score consists of insanely awesome E-Guitar tracks. The rest is orchestral/choral stuff which is also very good.
It's a joint venture with another composer, too. Don't know who did what but I suppose Hideki Taniuchi was responsible for the E-Guitar stuff.

You should check out his score for Otogizouchi. It's traditional Asian music mixed with electronic and rock elements.
The first OST only contains his music, the second one also has Kenji Kawai's music for the second half of the series.

Wish i had more time though.

Tell me about it. I only heard like 20 % of the anime OSTs I have. I haven't even checked out the Idaten Jump! soundtracks I posted here :D

I agree with you. I "yawned" in few areas. Overall the score was good. Al through i was expecting a lot :(.

Thanks i will move it -top to do list-. Loved the tv series watched it quite a few times. Loved the opening on Death Note. Otogizouchi is also on my top to listen list.... :D. Wow even Kenji Kawai?. That is awesome.

Iam not even near to 20%. If i have to calculate it will be like 1% or worst :P.

Another composer i would recommended to you is Kiyoshi YOSHIDA (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=8155). Iam searching for "Kurozuka" soundtrack so far no luck. Also by the same composer you should listen to this music : Rising Sun (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaY2plsva7g), The Lucky Spirit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGOkuK4NR5E), Spirit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CdMrlFTxlI) and quite few more. Most important is music is quite pleasing :). You should give it a try.

Yeah, Yoshida's Shigurui soundtrack was quite good and I kinda liked The Girl Who Leaped Through Time. Kurozuka unfortunately seems to have no soundtrack release.

I see. I wonder who made that terrible decision of not releasing a score from an excellent composer.

I never knew that this cartoon series music was composed by the great Takanashi. I used to be a fan too. But no certain piece was glued to my mind that much. Perhaps a wonderful chance to do a recap. By the way, if you can, please upload to different sharing site. Because rapidshare is totally blocked given the load of restrictions at my local internet provider.

I thought you knew it?
You should start to check up vgmdb.net. Yo have there both anime and game soundtrack artists. :)
I like this soundtrack. By the date of this soundtrack I could see (or feel) that Takanashi has not being evolving in his soundtracks..... He STARTED already EVOLVED in the anime soundtrack scene. I was astonished with this soundtrack. For me a good music artist is one that can and manages to compose in every kind of melody or type or style of music... and does it well. :)

I will re-upload in mp3VBR today. :)
All with scans and tagging crediting our friend "Boogie" ;)

By the date of this is soundtrack it made me change my conversation with my brother about Takanashi being evolving with his soundtracks. He already started EVOLVED in the anime soundtrack scene. There are some incredible tunes in both soundtracks, although, the second was the one that made my eyes glow more.
Track 20 "Idaten BATTLE TOURNAMENT" in the first soundtrack is gorgeous. The synth orchestra on the albums are great.
The second soundtrack with Track 5 "Karei na TECHNIQUE" and track 18 "Ikuukan BATTLE" are a hell of a demonstration in how Takanashi can work with electronic beats, these were the ones that broke me all over....Me. XD
Last tracks from 24 to 31, are very interesting. If you close your eyes and listen it, it will look like it Takanashi is telling a story. You can easily Imagine it. :)
Also, Guitar riffs and Solos, if you never heard Guilty Gear soundtracks, you won't get the joke. :p Yasuharu Takanashi Worked since his beginning with Daisuke Ishiwatari on Keyboard and Guitar. SO just the last year I found really NEW guitar solo stuff originally by Takanashi. Almost all his guitar compositions till then were all influenced by his work on Guilty Gear days.
I love when he mixes Heavy Guitar with Orchestra. :D

Here it is. Soundtracks with cover scans and all proper tagging, crediting , of course, our friends "BOOGIE". :)
