Eurogamer's Interview with Nintendo revealed late in January that Mistwalker's "The Last Story" will be a Japan exclusive release. One of the reasons being that Nintendo is focusing on the release of Kibry's Epic Yarn and the other being that if they were to localize the game to europe or usa is that they will have to work on the whole region ( especially in the case of europe ). However all hope may not be lost as Xenoblade which was in a similar situation might receive a North American release (TBA). Though they announced:

We've released quite a lot of RPGs on the Wii in the UK," Yarnton said. "It's an area that's been growing for us. It's up to the market. We never write anything off."

Whether that means the characters will sound British in speech, I don't know. But it could be fun. :D
