Tried finding it last night with no success - I hope I still have it.
Interestingly enough Graeme Revell re-used some of the music from Strange Days in the Movie 'Red Planet' just re-orchestrated a little...

Here's a link to some cover art which has track titles;

Check out the rest of the Plissken site for some nice boot covers.

That's right. For years I had to 'make do' with that score (especially the finale cue) due to none of the Strange Days score being released officially. Thank goodness for the internet age.

Found it, tested it with Tau and all is good!
I'll up it here if that's okay with ahdvd...

Cheers.

As a postscript the track listing you have is the correct playing sequence for the tracks on the disc, not the tracks as they are.
I've changed the running order to reflect the correct sequence and added 'While the Earth Sleeps' because I like it!

I never owned an original of this disc, it is a direct copy from the original boot though...

I've decided to do a little tidying to the recording that I have, there's some terrible fades and some buzzing.
I'll do my best to make this sound better before I post.

In the mean while, here are some covers that I put together with the new and accurate track listing, expect the lossless version in the next couple of days;

Before i found the score online i was frantic to get hold of this too - Graeme Revell also did the score for Red Planet, i think it was a mix of lack of time and use of his earlier stuff as a temp track, which resulted in him using the same piece of music in that movie too - and that WAS released on a cd. The track was called 'alone'. I think it was a cleaned up version of it, maybe re-recorded, it doesnt have the vocal additions, just the orchestration.

In the process of putting together an expanded soundtrack, I found that two of the tracks from the score have their chronological order listed incorrectly. (And oddly, one of those tracks is named in a way that does not match its use in the film, so it may have been tracked in the final cut.) Just thought I would let people know, so they can adjust their tracks accordingly. (If it matters to them. :) )

"On the Streets" actually goes directly after "Watching the Tape" It is the cue used when Faith explains to Lenny and Mace about Philo being a wirehead.

"Hiding in the Crowd" should be after "Mace in Danger", and it is the cue for when Engelman kills himself and Steckler is killed.

And finally if anyone would like my expanded version, here it is...

(http://img25.imageshack.us/i/89220954.jpg/)

http://www.multiupload.com/IR56QZ1346

Please note that I have retitled several tracks in my version. I normally wouldn't do this, but seeing as some of the titles did not match the scene they came from, I decided to just go for it. Also, in the interest of being totally anal, I will note that I have placed "Selling Jesus" where it plays for the second time in the film due to it being used more prominently the second time. :)

(http://img822.imageshack.us/i/sdtracks.jpg/)

My thanks to everyone who uploaded tracks, without which I would have had a 'songs only' release. :)

Thought i would post this as was mentioned by Derek and me earlier in the thread, it's the version of 'new years kiss' that was re-orchestrated for the movie Red Planet, called 'alone', it's basically the same piece of music, only it's played on a piano instead of electronic, has a nice quality to it.
Download Graeme Revell - Alone.mp3 from multiupload.com (http://www.multiupload.com/5U0AQ4ZMFQ)
Also, on the same soundtrack, is a track that Revell did with french opera singer Emma Shapplin. While i wouldn't normally go for opera styled vocals, her voice is amazing, and Revell uses this same theme as a backing base on the track 'Contro XXX'. She also features on a few other tracks from the soundtrack, you should check it out if you like this. I'm posting it here because it does use that same theme from the track in Strange Days and some might find it interesting.
Download Graeme Revell & Emma Shapplin - Canto XXX.mp3 from multiupload.com (http://www.multiupload.com/NQIBLEI0OL) (yes, the filename is incorrectly named in error.)

Thanks for the definitive soundtrack - had the songs album that was released and found the score promo online a little while ago, but this plugs the gap in my collection with all the other songs I was missing! As it's one of my favourite films I shall do a little happy dance now! :neg:

My collection isn't definitive, just expanded. There were several tracks that I chose to leave off due to being used in such a minimal way. (For instance, when Lenny is flicking through the radio stations at the beginning of the film, I dropped at least two songs.)

Just thought I'd mention it lest anyone think I was claiming this to be truly definitive. :D

I just compiled in loosless a 24 tracks 2 CD set of the songtrack. It includes nearly every song from the film in film order, save for a couple (Pantera, and the "amen" choir) I couldn't track down. I'll post it here if anyone is interested. (the original is 13 tracks). All the tracks come from the original discs and have been level adjusted (as the original CD is totally maxed out LOUD, I took it all a couple of decibels less from saturation)

BTW, I would kill to have the Deep Forest score. The film was completely scored by Deep Forest (as the early trailers credits attest) but their score was rejected and replaced with a brand new one by Graeme Revell (which I suspect actually is a rescore of the Deep Forest score ie very similar but more "points" that goes with the action whereas the Deep Forest score was probably simpler and less connected to the onscreen action). Anyone? If the band reads this... no one will know it's you who put it out there (and no one cares anyway apart from us fans)

I originally posted the FLAC a couple (few?) of years back- picked it up at the same time I bought an original "Deck" of Blade Runner from a guy in France.
Remember paying with Western Union, seriously scary business it was too - lots of money and the most dubious method of payment there is.

Thankfully ended well as is apparent!
