You can convert the FLAC to ALAC, MP3, or AAC with a variety of utilities and even many music players (including foobar2000). Many people would argue that the lossless formats are overkill and hog storage space for a portable system, unless maybe you have high-end portable listening gear and can find a quiet place to listen!

AAC usually gets better quality than MP3, but that depends on the exact encoder being used. You can probably just convert to some sufficiently high bitrate AAC or MP3 and use that for the iPod.

This exactly. There’s no need to post a separate MP3 version when it’s ridiculously easy just to do the conversion oneself. Or convert to ALAC for archival in iTunes, and enable the “Convert to 128Kbps AAC” sync option for the iPod.

Cool thanks for the info! I didn't know you could convert the file types. I figured there was some obnoxious process involved. So I just rename the file with a new file extension, right?

Did anyone get header corruption on part3 of the archive? I tried to repair and rebuild the archive using winrar's repair function, but Disc 7/09 - Triumphal Return~Epilogue (VII).flac is irrecoverable.
