We are prisoners of life and death.

From love, lust, sadness and hate
We sacrifice inner beauty
For the dark, feverish decay of our souls.

Pain throbs
Devouring the light and peace.

Taunting voices bellow times of the past
And we recall essential memories
Of love and beauty

Only too late.

For our sins
Hell thrashes us
With its unforgiving wrath.

I liked it, I thought it was really deep, with a lot of emotion behind it.

Powerful and meaningful. Sounds like you got it out of a book it's so good!

aint that a bit too pessimistic/dark for a young person like you, I mean messages of hopelessnes and disenchantment (or I read your poem wrong). I think were all young here, and thats reason enuf to rejoice. We have the rest of our lives to look forward to, And personally I dont believin any hell, you make your own hell and you can unmake it with proper strengthening of the heart.

jeez, sorry for my ramblings
