This sounds phenomenal. Not just a sfx-riddled fan rip, but a legitimate full score. Not legitimate for us, granted, but hell, its ours anyway. Thanks!

I have difficulty to find a real 320 version of this one indeed.

Captain, i just did a spectrum analysis with EAC after duplicating (the files are mono) and it seems to be 192, not 320...

Did i do a mistake maybe ? Thanks in advance for your help, if someone could confirm this is a real 320 it would be great, it is the first time i do a spectrum analysis with EAC and i am not familiar to check these kind of things.

Did anyone have this? Some of the tracks such as "Armageddon (Piano)" and "Armageddon Suite" can be found in the official (single CD) score album. Judging from the track duration, the "Long Distance Goodbye (Alternate)" could be the same one as on the official (single CD) score album, and "Main Theme" could be the same track named "Armageddon Theme" on the official (single CD) songs album. The last two songs (by Aerosmith and Journey) can be found on the official song album. :)

Well, if someone could post those tracks mentioned (lossless preferred) then we could fill in the "gaps" and arrange any way you want (or desire). :)

There's no one answer as the options you are presented with changes each time you click the links.

For a start, what link are you looking for ?.

A) uploaded.to FLAC
B) uploaded.to MP3
C) Mediafire MP3

It's all a bit of a dog's dinner.
You need to have a general aptitude for it.

I've started a new thread here (Thread 136499), detailing the lengthy history of this score on album, as well as providing what is most likely the best sounding and most complete version of this score. For those of you still searching for this fantastic score, go check it out.

Armageddon: 2CD Complete Score - Trevor Rabin [320kbps]

Reupload. Not FLAC, unfortunately. Everything is in 320kbps.

EDIT: I've updated the release with more tracks, mainly alternates on CD2. Check the new tracklist for changes. Everything is now in 320kbps.

EDIT 2: Added the amazing track "Fallen Comrades", which is the full version of the cue "Survivors".

EDIT 3: Highly recommend anyone still looking for this score go and check out Yannis' upload (Thread 120687). It has everything in this release, except in LOSSLESS (it doesn't have "Fallen Comrades", but 320kbps should suffice most people)! I'll keep these links up for now, but if they go down I most likely won't reupload, especially with Yannis' superior version floating around.

Check out this thread for the best sounding and most complete version of this terrific score. (Thread 136499)

I'm not usually a fan of the "Media Ventures" sound, considering how overused it is in the world of film music today. But Armageddon, while being pretty much the atypical Media Ventures score, is also a definite highlight of it's sound. It's also one of the only "Media Ventures"-esque score that can be stomached easily on an expanded album. Even a lot of the underscore on this 2CD is pretty easily listen-able.

Of course, the definite highlight of this score is that massive seven minute cue "The Launch", which has pretty much defined many film-goers musical idea of the word "epic". It's pretty breathtaking, to say the least.

I've put in a bunch of alternate artworks, both back and front, featuring the various alternate names of the tracks. My tracklist is slightly different from the one posted originally, with a couple more alternate cues on the second CD. Here's a tracklist for those interested:

Tracklist:

thanks were can I find the track fallien comrades?

I just checked out the piece of music in question. Wow, I can't believe we missed this, I honestly thought at over two hours this release was absolutely everything from the film. But, it looks like we've still got something missing! I can see why you want it, it's an amazing variation of the love theme composed by Harry Gregson-William. For those of you who haven't heard it, check it out!

Oh, and while I'm at it, I've reuploaded the score with all the alternate cues discussed in this thread, including "Armageddon Piano", "Armageddon Suite" and "Theme From Armageddon". Now, if only we can get "Fallen Comrades", then it'll truly be complete!

Yeah yeah yeah!

I've just given it a listen, and you are true to your word my friend! And 320kbps too! Surely this means that we finally have a -gasp- complete score?

To those interested, the version martymarin posted is four minutes long, and contains the music heard in the Youtube link in my previous post, as well as the cue "Survivors". Putting this track into the score renders "Survivors" redundant, so you might as well delete it.

Once again, thanks martymarin for the great upload. I'd like to say this makes "Armageddon" complete, but honestly, who knows what surprises lay in store from this amazing score? I'm definitely staying tuned to this one.

What is the name of the track that contains the music where they land? Is it A Wing and a Prayer? I have a track known as Long Distance Goodbye/Landing (Alternate). If neither of those tracks are the track that contain that music, when which one in the expanded score does?

Where they land back on Earth at the end of the movie? That's "A Wing And A Prayer". It's kind of confusing, but "Long Distance Goodbye/Landing (Alternate)" is either the music when Harry says goodbye to Grace, or bits of that scene and the landing scene spliced together (depending on what version of the score you have). It's kind of a mess with all of the different releases around. If you want to know more, I break down the entirety of all the known releases in this thread (Thread 136499).
