Best Games ever? I think so! Hell yes! Especially Suikoden 2, that was rad. I saw in an issue of PSM there were screenshots for Suikoden 3!!! Whoo-Hooo! My biggest wish for Suiko 3 is that the lead character will finally talk...hopefully. My fave chara's from the Suikoden series is Flik, he's cool, plus he's cute. XD So what's everyone's favorite Suiko game and characterr?

Well I play Suikoden 2 only so far. Yeap Flik every time when he see nina(sp?) he would ran. That part is so funny because nina would NEVER let him be alone. hahaha:D :D

Well I've only played the original, but it was OK...a bit on the easy side, though, and my opinion of the story is that it's interesting, but nothing special. =\

Viktor was one of my favorite characters. He added much to comic relief, and was pretty strong in a skirmish. I liked the Lepant family too. They had a strong charge move (maybe 2 of 'em) that I liked to unfair the poor, defenseless, unsuspecting bosses with. :p

I give rezo a week to see this one. (I'd make it a day instead, but he doesn't visit everyday.) XD

Now you're talkin'! I loved that game. I finished it and then gave it to a nice friend of mine who adopted it. (sigh)

The music is really awesome, I've just downloaded the mp3's, the music makes me feel like I'm revisiting an old friend. ;)

This was one game where I didn't mind the battles (they didn't become too tedious) and the side games were just fun! I loved the cook-offs, they were just totally... cool... awesome.... badical.... I've run out of adjectives. The game feels like home to me.

I came on here to make a post about it, and found yours. :) I guess it's true that great minds think alike. lol!

5 days since your post. . .

Suikoden is one of the easiest RPGs I've played. . .but RPG is one of the easiest genres I'm aware of.

Anyways, I can't express how much I love the series(sure I can. And have. ) The realistic way it deals with death and character development(Nanami) is amazing. I like that it does not rely on melodramatically charged "development" scenes to develop the characters. The Luca Blight Scenario has to be one of the greatest I've seen in any game.

I have to agree with you about Luca Blight in Suikoden 2, but did anyone else see the parallel to Adolph Hitler? I mean he kept asking heads of state to sign treaties and then breaking that pact, he was commiting horrible crimes by killing millions of people in secret, and I thought it was interesting that while you're playing the game, in the beginning, you're thinking "What can I do? I'm just a soldier, this is much bigger than me."

It gives me a better perspective on World War 2 and why it wasn't so obvious what Hitler was doing in the first place. Even though his crimes were horrendous, if you found out at the time - - and all these heads of state were fooled by him - - wouldn't you feel like there was nothing you could do to stop him, and wouldn't you feel that people wouldn't believe what you'd seen with your own eyes? Of course, if you won Suikoden 2 you were one of those people who realized that you HAVE to do something to stop him.

The game seems to give allowances for political mistakes made in the past, but enforces the need to NOT repeat them.

I own both Suikodens and had to play them both through to get all 108 stars and access the main character in the first game whilst playing the second. That was a sweet idea!

Best character? Probably Viktor or Flik. I also like the Star Dragon Sword. There's no helping you when your sword argues with you when you go into battle...
