In short, MAGFest is a music and video gaming festival run by fans, for fans. In more verbose terms, it's an annual event dedicated to the celebration of video games and video game music. Every year offers 24-hour console, arcade, and PC game rooms, live video game cover bands, a vendors area, and guest speakers from the video game industry and fan scene. Numerous other events are scheduled each day. It also features a "JamSpace" available to all attendees for impromptu music performances.
What makes MAGFest unique is that it's an event run by fans for fans. There are no corporate sponsors, no over-crowded showfloors, and no hour long lines. MAGFest is built from the ground up to be a party-like atmosphere with focus on community and fan creations, which creates an environment that no other expo or convention can ever recreate.
Perhaps most importantly, MAGFest has a huge focus on game music -- multiple concerts' worth -- filled with video game music tributes, some even with the original composers! On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, multiple bands will perform on our main stage, and our JamSpace room is open 24 hours for collaborative music and special treats alike.

Dude, Porko, that's awesome, you were there too?! My GF, myself, and about 4 others were there again this year, we should arrange a meetup this coming year! I was in the concert hall, recording with a flipcam while all the bands were performing, I never expected to see that anyone'd gotten high-quality copies, as the Mega's new Topman song rocked!!! I'm so totally putting this on her iPod today when we go to the families for Easter, lol!!
