"A splendid collection of film favorites starting off with a powerful performance of the "Sunrise" section of Strauss's Also sprach Zarathustra, music used so effectively in 2001: A Space Odyssey, and ending with a 23-minute suite of Steiner's score for Gone With the Wind. Other highlights are the rousing Korngold March from Robin Hood, an extended suite of music from the same composer's Kings Row, an arrangement of Three Coins in the Fountain reminiscent of Respighi, and Born Free with the accent on brass, percussion -- and imagination. A terrific CD, beautifully transferred from the analog tapes (1968/1974)." -- Robert Benson, Classical CD Review

Yeah. explain how to work this puzzling forum with its various quirks for special 'torrent aids' to make a download?

Thanks for sharing, I grabbed this for the hypnotic Rashōmon bolero. If you want to split the file into individual tracks, there is free tool Medieval CUE Splitter (PC) (http://www.medieval.it/cuesplitter-pc/menu-id-71.html).

This is a VERY VERY strange recording.... Born Free is bizarre as hell. The arrangement is based on Revueltas' very, very sexy classical music piece Sensemaya (a signature piece of Leonard Bernstein that has yet to be bettered)... with the Born Free theme lost some place in the middle. What was Gerhardt thinking? Robert Benson of Classical CD Review must have been a real dope.

Yen, if you want to hear another recording of that bolero music you can find it here in a 20min suite of Rashomon, with thanks to Lens: http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/big-orchestral-action-music-thread-57893/427.html#post2191099

Also includes the main and end title credits of the movie and the music in the early sequence when the woodcutter finds the body.
