Okay I'll pipe in with one. Wish I had never seen Ransom by Mel Gibson. That was an unforgivably brutal, violent movie. Far beyond what it would have taken to make his point. If he had one!

Passchendaele.

A strange mix between a cheesy Danielle Steel-like love story and quite graphic war violence. Symbolism so heavy and clumsy, that you feel like it's being stuffed down your throat.

Me and my friend saw it hoping for a decent WWI-movie, but ended up giggling through it, because it was so bad. Still it does not really qualify for the "so bad that it's really funny" category.

Avoid at all costs - unless you are about to embark on a movie-making career and want to see how NOT to do it.

Dead Like Me: Life After Death.

That film was so bad it had a negative effect on my opinion of the series. It was horrible. I wish it didn't exist.

Natural Born Killers. Fucking hated that piece of shit (although I will say an incestuous child molester is imo the most realistic role for Rodney Dangerfield). And then, I guess, Eight Crazy Nights. Just a plain stupid, retarded, annoying movie.

The Human Centipede... *shudders*...need I explain?

And Tron: Legacy, believe it or not...it wasn't AWFUL, I just hate 3-D movies with a burning passion, and the paper-thin story line didn't help with that at all. By the middle of the film I wanted to get the hell out of the theater as fast as I could.

I wish I had never seen any of the Starship Troopers sequels, Alien Resurrection, The Hulk (2003), The Fantastic 4 movies, and House of the Dead.

The third Starship Troopers movie tried to rekindle what the first had... but failed. Alien Resurrection was a joke (only good one in it, was Ron Perlman). The Hulk... well, I don't have much faith for movies based on comics/videogames nowadays. Same goes for the Fantastic Four. Haven't seen House of the Dead... don't think I will either.

On a positive note:

I was watching this the other day on the TVs and thought to myself I wish I'd never seen this just so I can watch it again and be surprised by everything.

The Empire Strikes Back.

The first time you see the AT-ATs....the first time Yoda appears....Boba Fett......Luke, I am your bone daddy.

That award definitely goes to Cannibal Holocaust. After seeing that movie I guarantee, depending on your mindset of course, that you will not be the same person you were going into it as you will be when you finish it. A very close second was Cannibal Ferox, an obvious ripoff of CH and a very badly done one at that. I know CH had some symbolism and meaning behind it but CF seemed like a complete cash-in. Now before you call me a prude or anything like that, gore and shock films are my life but cannibal films just strike the wrong chords with me.

The Devil's Rejects. It's just in bad taste. I can even appreciate a gore-fest, but here there's no redemption, no point, nothing except Rob Zombie reveling in glorified ways to fuck people up. And at the end you're supposed to sympathize with the psychopathic killers when home videos show them as being a nice, wholesome, family and Skynard's Freebird plays in the background. Fuck Rob Zombie and his horror movies.

i saw before sunset the other day donot, same actor and actress as in before sunrise but years later, charming movie, makes me want to see before sunrise actually :P

but this topic is about films one wishes they never saw; i've got plenty -
- audition, you know, that moment when he discovers the bloke in the bag and then you hear a sloppy, wet sound, and then the bitch walks into view with a dog bowl overflowing with something and she wipes her mouth - i actually, genuinely feel sick just typing about that moment
- alien resurrection, alien vs predator, alien vs predator requiem, all utterly jaw dropping failures and the smouldering ruins of the classic monsters;
- prometheus, which deserves its own entry apart from the above because it actually looked like it would be really good and then the jockeys turned out to be EXACTLY what i'd hoped for over a decade they'd never canonically make them be, as well as a myriad of reasons why it was also stupid... sigh - i mean ok on a symbolic level the plot is great and the cinematography, sound, acting etc. is impressive but i just hated the plot so much, it was so idiotic and lazy, i mean why the fuck would such an advanced race genetically engineer an unstable and dangerous animal as a biological weapon, as opposed to a pathogen, or some form of radioactive agent or something that would be a lot easier to control and deploy etc. and why do they go around seeding planets with life and then wiping them out when they don't like what happens, ARGGGGGGGGH
- the twilight series, of which i've seen the first 2, it just deserves all the shit it gets from its multitudes of detractors, it's so fucking shit, and it could have been alright if they hadn't been so obscenely self-obsessed and idiotic about the plot, but i guess that's what the melodramatic among us vibe off, even if it doesn't make any fucking sense... sigh

i'm getting angry just trying to recall more films i wish i hadn't seen so i think i'll stop there, but i might post again with more examples if i think of them. peace

I thought it was a great art film, visually so. But I do not recommend it. It drags on, it's very trippy, and heavy in terms of sexual content. I can't say it's bad, but it's just something that makes me depressed.
