Is the lossless version the same, content-wise? (or: did you transcode for this?)
I downloaded your newly-uploaded version but it has the same errors I fixed here (Thread 85044).

No, the lossless is the retail OST. I am aware of your custom work, I just had a request for this in particular, and am just posting anything that can be.

Lots of the links are no longer working, but the hotfile one is still active. As you say though, it downloads Braveheart music and not Apollo 13.

I don't believe it is pass protected, but on the off chance it is, it would be BOB.

I also replaced the link in the OP.

I dont know if the Academy-Promo is complete, is it?

Anyway, I want to ask you two things: 1. There exists a gold version of Apollo 13. They say on Amazon.com there is more dialogue in it. True? What is the difference between the gold version and the regular if you just listen to it via usual cd player? 2. On this site: Apollo 13 Soundtrack CD Album (http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=1103796) they sell a different main title and a different end title of the movie. Is it from another movie (which one?) or is it an alternate track?

Thank you!

I **think** the promo is mostly complete as far as score. Sinus up there did some tweaking for his edit, but right off the bat I dunno what. But I don't think any major cues are missing. I know nothing at all about the other stuff.

interesting is the music in the background of the second dvd of the special editions main menu! obviously music of james horner and i assume it is music of the score! BUT it is NOT in the academy score!!! i still hope for a COMPLETE score. love this movie so much.... ;)

Also interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blAOBTCtt-k - where the main theme is played with a piano.

IF the music on the dvd is from Apollo 13. Keep in mind the academy promo IS the complete score, but is not recording sessions. We all know Horner writes tons of music, which is often edited or unused, so never sees a release. Also bear in mind a lot of the film is not scored, and that a lot of what is consists of souce music, aka the songs on the VA album, which actually does not contain all of them.

Here is the academy promo reup. This is the original release, not Sonic's tweaking of it. I do not have that, so you will have to ask him if you want it.

Ooookay. So I will look around for the recording sessions of Apollo 13... but the Academy Promo is also very nice indeed. I am happy it was published. I do not like the "early" Horner with Krull, but the first soundtrack by Horner I actually liked was "The search for Spock", especially the tracks they released in the expanded score. Horner became better and better in my opinion until the age of "Apollo", "Titanic" and "Braveheart". He has now a save place in "great composers heaven". Thank you, Amanda for your kind and interesting answer!
