As in, not the orchestral version. I already found that. It's nice, but it has a limited amount of songs (ie. little enough that I know they didn't attempt the entire game's tracks). (Other opinions that were going to be put here have been deleted and perhaps saved for the discussion board, if I feel like stating them at all.)

I'm afraid the one you linked is the orchestral arrangement, or at least it appeared to be once I downloaded the file and started extracting.

A gamerip of the music would be fine though. Honestly, I haven't checked what the difference is between that and the real OST.

Yes, sadly, he's right. It's pretty much the same as the gamerip goldjirachi uploaded. I was just so glad when I saw that the tracknames machted the ones on the vgmdb list I uploaded it immediately without checking its authenticity. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The quality of the gamerip isn't too bad, except for a few things I noticed:

"103 Logic ~ Truth of the Crime Scene" is a supposed to be a completely different track.
"219 Ringtone ~ Hakari Mikagami" is missing altogether.
"201 The Inherited Turnabout" is split into two tracks. Not sure if that's good or bad.
"207 Tsukasa Oyashiki ~ Sweet Dance" and "218 Yumihiko Ichiyanagi ~ Ichiryuu's Farewell" tracks have their names swapped, IIRC.
There isn't supposed to be any Pursuit (variation) theme on the OST list.

This should fix most of the issues in the soundtrack I've posted earlier. Just cut and paste to the correct folders (103 to Disc 1, 207 and 218 to Disc 2 and you can swap the two split Inherited Turnabout intro themes for the one where they're fused together if you want). I'm still missing the Ringtone theme though.

EDIT: Changed the original link, now it includes the changes mentioned above.

I would also like to try and get the actual soundtrack. There are a few samples of the actuual ost and a good quality rip on the CR forums but no such luck for tha actual ost or the drama cd. :(

Kind of OT, but what the hell? No one has posted the OST yet and you chalk it up to xenophobia--when, in actuality, most of the OST rips that get posted originate from non-Japanese who purchase or import the soundtracks? smh

True, OST's are usually posted by non-japanese. But at least admit to me (And to be fair, I do not hate the Japanese, I love them! :D I just worry over their acceptance of other people) that they have trouble, even today, accepting the fact that they're not the center of the universe. Hence why Final Mix is only in Japan and not here. XD

I'm going to take it, then, that you have never actually been to Japan, nor are you very familiar with actual Japanese people.

Back on topic, here's hoping we see an upload in the near future.

All I'm saying is that they are still adjusting to the reality that there's people out there in the world, and it shows: the Final Mix and International versions of Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, for example, are Japan-exclusive. And judging by Nomura's behavior and mannerisms, he's not very fond of the game hitting other countries. And I've consulted on the matter, and there is apparently quite a bit of xenophobia with regards to foreigners in Japan. Thankfully it's not as severe today as it was in the past, but it's still there. If that's not why the GK2 OST is here yet or an American/Westerner hasn't received his/her copy yet, then I don't know what's going on.

But I digress. I must apologize if I sounded like a hating douchebag, because I'm not. :)

All right, let's all get along and go back to hoping against hope for this OST to appear somewhere. I did see something that I thought might have been it on some Japanese website that I had to register for (and I don't speak Japanese), but I got scared to click on it because I was afraid I would have to pay or I would get into trouble or something. I think it's called boxfile. When I did a search for gyakuten kenji 2 ost it came up, a few weeks back. But I can't seem to find it now.

On the other hand, there is someone on DeviantArt named kuro-ky bragging about how they got the CD so maybe you could try to get them to share the wealth or something. At least I know it's out there somewhere, but whether they'll be willing to share is another story.
