A wonderful mix of Japanese film music from 1956-79 – Western classical, traditional Japanese, songs, jazz, even some Godzilla! The article on the composer in Wikipedia is unjustly negative in my opinion.

* Noren can be either “goodwill” or the split curtains originally hung in front of a shop door in Japan to keep out the sun and dust. Decorated with the shop's name and house insignia, noren also served as the shop's sign. My icon here at ffshrine is a noren curtain to the ladies’ section of a Japanese bath house.
