I love Mediafire. Allows Multiple Downloads.
I hate Rapidshare. Nothing Rapid about it.

What about you?

mediafire is the best, especially for multi-archive downloads. problem is that it doesnt support passworded archives, and download is mediocre (though still faster than free rapidshare).

as far as speed, for free sites, megaupload is best. its also great because it doesnt have a cooldown. so it is just under mediafire on goodness.

Me too. Comment:
"Rapidshit": Hell slow download/upload speed on my lame ADSL modem, annoying waiting time, files are last so short, can't resume during download.
Mediafire: Vice versa the above.

What exactly do you mean by cooldown?
Megaupload makes you wait like 45 seconds, and there is a data cap for free users. Like 800 MB, or 1GB or something, I just know its high enough where I don't hit the cap often.

Then again I can reset my IP so any datacaps for any service don't effect me.

And Mediafire not allowing password archives... that brings up another topic I can create.

its more the cooldown after. without workarounds (proxy, tor, ip change etc), rapidshare makes you wait 15 min or so, hotfile 30 min, and a couple others as well. its terribly annoying. megauploads only problem is that you can only download one at a time, which is true of everyone except mediafire without paying. mediafire also doesnt make you wait before downloading, which everyone else does.

so mediafire is better than all others, except for speed (which is still better than most), and megaupload is the best free site for speed, but you can only download one at a time.

I'll have to take your word on MediaFire being slow. My DSL Connection is only 350 KB/s Max.

With Mediafire I still get those 350 speeds just like I do with Megaupload. I lack the internet speeds to compare the true speeds between the two. So for me/someone who can't go over 350, Megaupload and Media Fire are the same in terms of speed.

I kinda live out in the country. I'm close enough to the city to use the sewer system but far enough not to have a cable line so I'm stuck with DSL. I miss cable internet D:

MU and MF are the best.

FS/UL/US and these 'new kids' are crappy to me.

RS NEVER FREAKING WORKS...

I like Megaupload. I haven't had too much experience with Mediafire, primarily because I seek Megaupload links.

Rapidshare is horrid.

I like Megaupload because of its speed (a bit faster than Mediafire, at least twice as fast as Rapidshare, three times as fast as Hotfile and the rest). The limit annoyed me because I used to share an IP with the rest of my school, but now that I have my own place it's been less troublesome. So Megaupload wins, for me.

Rapidshare, as much as I dislike it, is not my least favorite because it works fairly reliably and has relatively fewer ads despite being slow and limited. I dislike sites like Hotfile even more because of the number of ads. D:
