Is this just a re-release of the existing albums? With no changes to the content of the original 3 soundtracks? Because I'm listening to the Curse of the Black Pearl right now, and it sounds awfully synthesized, like they messed with it too much in post-production. Is there a bootleg that sounds more orchestral, like it does in the film?

Thanks for the upload, by the way.

Aye...sadly, this is all there is. The score for the Black Pearl has never sounded like it's supposed to. Someone screwed up in the post-production and they decided not to fix it for the Soundtrack Treasures Collection. If you're looking for more Pirates music, take a look at my threads. My Curse of the Black Pearl score is still in the works.

Thanks for the upload. Is it just me, or does the Black Pearl sound really bad? Normally I'm not one to complain (not an audiophobe) but "One Last Shot" sounds horrendous at times, almost screeching. Is it supposed to be this way? (MP3 version of the soundtrack)

I see the "issues" with these scores that they might sound bad.

The thing is that in my opinion, you need good headphones for these scores. Listening them without headphones is in fact kind of ruff :). I mean they do come off as lower than usual, so the overall sound is lost without headphones and the bass is in charge pretty much everywhere. Now with headphones though, you will hear all the little details in these scores.

Black Pearl, gotta love that shit, awesome score!

For me, the problem is that they sound overly synthesized, overly filtered. Does anyone know if the scores were performed with an actual orchestra? Because they sound electronic to me.

The reason why I'm making such a big deal out of this is because the movies didn't really sound like this at all. Plus, this is the first time I've heard a Zimmer score sound like this. His stuff may be action heavy, but at least it still sounds organic and real.

I don't have any actual proof to back this up, but I do believe all these scores are from a real orchestra. Actually, wait...there is this: YouTube - HANS ZIMMER PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN ORCHESTRA HD (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDzd88KJc-4)

I know several sources say that Curse of the Black Pearl was synthesized, but as I said earlier, that was all due to an error when they formatted the music onto the official release of the CD. As for the other two movies, there is a certain static about some tracks but that could be attributed to this: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (soundtrack) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirates_of_the_Caribbean:_Dead_Man%27s_Chest_%28so undtrack%29) (See the first quote by Zimmer near the start of the article).

Hi forum. I know Ive posted several times tonight looking for the POTC Treasures Collection working link, and thanks to Babydoll for her help. But after several hours of digging online,I ACTUALLY found a WORKING LINK FOR IT!!! here it is:

Thank you,Cornelius&Zira for confirming that.now maybe maybe someone will listen to me and see that it's not my imagination that all the links are deleted. Good news is,the link I posted last night actually does work.you have to copy and paste the addresses one at a time-there's 7 parts to it- into your browser, but at least you'll have it. I hope soneone does repost a working link on here again though,so others can get the set in one fell-swoop instead of 7 different downloads. I'm sorta new to this community.

Sorry guys, but Bishity posted a multi-upload link. Click the link, and you get like 6 or so different hosters to choose from. Mega-upload and Depositfiles still work, i just checked them. Just follow Bishity's link, choose wither MU or depositfile, and dl as normal. Trust me, they work.

Hi Babydoll.could you post the link in your next reply? It's just a lot of digging in here to find those links among all the dead ones. It would be awesome.and by the way, thanks for pointing me in the right direction last night.

Follow these links, and choose either Megaupload, or Depositfiles:

Cornelius....I do not have links for mp3. Unless someone posts, best bet is to dl these and convert. There are a number of free converters out there, and even I found them easy to use......

Oh, and it seems the Hotfile links also are still alive.

Oh, and it seems the Hotfile links also are still alive.

I wasn't sure at a quick glance if Hotfile was a complete set of links.

(some people prefer to stick with the same hoster for all the parts).

In some cases it needs to be the same hoster... in this case I don't think it does.

... It seems he still doesn't understand the whole idea of links ?.

He seems to think he needs to download all of the files within a Multiupload link, instead of just one of them.

One from EACH of the multiupload links !.

bishtyboshty
09-19-2011, 07:19 PM
Yeah, there is no part4 for Hotfile.

But as I said, in this case a pick'n'mix approach should work.

What I normally do is copy all of the multiupload links into Jdownloader, and it then determines which components are still active.

Thanks again Babydoll.I'm grateful.as to the other persons remark about me needing a teacher...I don't. That's why I rarely go on public forums,I can't stand snippy people. All I did was state that the links were dead, and I wasn't the only one who thought so. But as I said,I'm grateful for your assistance. I hope I can return the favor at some point. :)

Yeah well don't forget this was the snippy person who uploaded the files you were finally able to work out how to download. It's hardly rocket-science.

And all you did was post that the links were dead in 4 different threads (when they were not), and send me a PM saying the same thing.
