How did you get the main theme ? I managed to rip everything else but couldn't figure out what was diffrent about the main theme. Figured it wasn't XMA for whatever reason but nothing I tried worked. Btw, looks like you missed some tracks. There are 4 battle tracks (no choir variants), an ambient music track and the main theme / menu theme.

The main theme was playing on the Demo's Menu.
I just kept waiting for the music to end while i ripped it. Fairly easy.
And yeah maybe, there are a small ambiance drop-ins in the action themes, i guess i was going a bit to fast.

Oh well.

Why don't you try software ripping? :)

Oh, I see. I thought you actually ripped the soundnodewave files out of the demo package and converted the XMA files. But you just recorded them with some dxaudio recording tool. No wonder you didn't catch the "missing" tunes that way :) Ah well, one of these days I'll figure out what format the main theme is in.

Hope there will be a real OST when the game ships.

Start looking into unreal engine file formats and keep going until you eventually end up on a handfull of sites that have devs and tools who do nothing but rip apart gamedata for "inspection". It's an interesting journey and you'll have to take it to understand what half the tools do or won't do and why they fail sometimes. There is (unfortunately) no 1click general purpose gameaudio-ripper :(

There will be a release of the Soundtrack, it's confirmed by "People Can Fly" One of the Company's that was involved in the production :D
but yeah.

I'm not all that up-to-date in the gaming world myself, and I will have to check out what this "Bulletstorm" is (I usually don't, rather can't, listen to a soundtrack without having played the game or watched the movie). But knowing you and your incredible work, I will have to give your rip a download and listen. Thanks TOMANDANDY, you are the best!

Use this for unreal engine xxx files.

then your gonna need to learn hex to convert xbox360's XMA codec, i would try hex workshop.

After that you need to research on adding XMA headers for towav to convert.

http://aluigi.altervista.org/papers/quickbms.zip

Once xentax forums goes backup again i will post the bms script to add xma headers.

anyway here is towav which to decode XMA files with the proper header.

@o.j.simdicks

Those work for all the soundfiles in the demo EXCEPT for the main theme which is why I asked in the first place :) That beeing said, you don't really need to worry about adding xma headers manually unless it's xma2 or something non-standard. There's a bms script for that (I believe it was called soundnodewave to xma or something).
