Is this WITHOUT SFX? I dearly hope so! On John Williams' official website there is a section for HARRY POTTER (Recording Sessions) and according to it, there is a Without SFX version.
I SURE HOPE THIS IS IT!

Why so surprised? This was posted all over the site like last October. It is amazing, but certainly not new....

Actually, there was a member who posted an edit of this, where all the dead silence was removed, among other things. That may still be around here somewhere.

Here is that edit: Megaupload (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IBWLJC6R)

Only I noticed someone else has done an edit too recently and made a new thread for it. I don't know which one is best though.

has it been edited? Is it the BrachioInGen/My edit? I made two... one without silences and as "originally intended" and one with the stage noises (not all the extra silences) and as recorded...

---------- Post added at 06:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:49 PM ----------

Upon download these sound like low bit mp3's of what was already released, with no silences removed and the incorrect cue names listed (although the right slate numbers it would seem).

The missing end to what is called properly "[2m2] You're a Wizard, Harry" but called "108 2m2 Harry's Acceptance - Pig tails" is still missing.

But it's in essence a repost.

Whatever happened to the original thread?

Guys, for a great edit of this in high quality MP3, VBR-0 (with excess silences removed, better volume and everything arranged correctly) go here:

what short cues were you missing? there's an ending to "You're a Wizard Harry" and one of the tracks labeled as "Lonely First Night (alternate)" is the same as the other cue which leads me to believe there is an alternate that got mistakenly replaced. Past that... everything in the film is tracked

what short cues were you missing?

I went through the entire movie on DVD and matched it up with the tracks I had in the recording sessions. Not all of the the score from the movie was included in the recording sessions, there were a few short cues missing, but nothing major. Plus, some of the music that appears in the movie is different from what was included in the recording sessions, (eg: in the recording sessions, the beginning of the track "Diagon Alley / The Gringotts Vault", and the ending of the track "Lonely First Night" are both different from what can actually be heard in the movie.) But other than a few little niggles, this is pretty much as complete and accurate as we're ever likely to get.

I've done the same and found everything that was "missing" was just tracked music from other cues. As compared to the conductors score, nothing is missing.

there's an ending to "You're a Wizard Harry"

Yeah! I noticed that track ended rather abruptly on the recording sessions, so I just faded it out gradually. Do you know where to find the complete version of that cue?

Okay, cool! Thanks.

You can only find the complete version of that cue on the DVD. I suspect that something happened to it becuase in the dvd mix, it goes abruptly from 5.1 to stereo at that point which is too weird that in both the boot and the dvd the same point has music end. The continuation must have been an alternate take or a retake that never got put with the rest of the score.

I ripped it from the blu ray and tacked it on. It's only in the front channels so there is light light noise, but you almost don't notice it and by the time you do its over lol

Hmm. Can someone reup this? I think I came across this Sorcerer's Stone 'complete score' before but the recording sessions would be beyond anything. I had no idea that those ever leaked...
EDIT: NVM, it works now. Weirdness with jdownloader.

Does anyone still have the files from the original post? If so could you possible re-upload?

Or are they identical to these: Thread 208354 ?

Thanks in advance :)
