Hi i work on the localization team for the game i download lots of tracks ffrom here and ive decided to contribute, and ive managed to upload a version that is close to the final OST for final fantasy iv complete collection, an upcomeing game that has both final fantasy iv and the after years for PSP

note: none of the tracks are named, and many are reused from the nds version. i didnt have time to name them im sure that if u do some comparison between the original soundtrack and this one u should be able to

Thanks a lot!

The tracklist is in the same order as the official soundtrack, and the tracks are indeed exactly the same as the DS version, except that it’s missing Megumi Ida’s Tsuki no Akari. Makes sense, since that song never actually plays in the game. Otherwise, it’s basically an exact reproduction of the DS soundtrack. If you already have that, no need to download this.

And if you’re on the game’s localization team, then you’ve pretty much confirmed a US release for FF4 Collection. :) That said, since FF4 has been separately translated at least three times (SNES, GBA, DS), and After Years’ script is finished, I don’t know that there would be much localization work necessary beyond inserting whichever version script is decided on (the GBA version was the best, IMO) and playtesting.

all i can say is that the japanese version has a full english transl ation similar to the aniversary editions on psp and some tracks in the link are variations from the ds version such as mt. ordeals

Don't listen to this guy, he's a fake.
Just checked it, it's 100% FF4 DS Soundtrack. Even more so of proof that he's a liar is the fact he didn't include the TAY tracks.
Reported.

Came to a similar conclusion after listening for more than a few seconds; the track times are set to the SNES OST’s length. Most of the tracks get faded out before they actually get going.

Oh well.

ALready knew it was fake the moment he said they were re-used from the NDS version. Square's game team may not be good, infact they've been less then stellar lately. HOWEVER their media team is a lot better and they would never re-use a game OST especially for a remake such as this. I am positive the FF4 PSP game will be recieving the same treatment the PSP versions of FF1 and 2 did.

Actually, they DO reuse the soundtrack from the DS version, you can check it on their website. My point in that he lied is that he didn't include TAY soundtrack which is getting remastered into FF4DS quality.

Besides from what I can tell, he ripped those tracks from that site.

yes they are also uploaded to the japanese site. i am the one who uploaded them. if you are a member u may vote for tracks to include on the jpanaese soundtrack cd included with the complete bundle. also, is not a little rude to disrespect a fellow contributer by false acusations and blunt remarks?

just want to help the site and community. ;)

All you did was rip tracks from a website, you did not provide the "TAY" part of the soundtrack nor show any proof of you being on the development team.
I'm going to remain sceptic.

Did you not Play FF1 and 2 PSP?

Those had the EXACT same soundtrack as the PS1 versions + a few newtracks for the endgame stuff

He's a liar and not a developer. This is just a website rip made by random kid who wants in on the glory. Ignore him.

You people get excited for nothing. This is a very bad quality rip of Final Fantasy IV DS soundtrack which is reused for Complete Collection. The actual Complete Collection Soundtrack Plus (That's how it's called) has ONLY new arrangements by Masashi Hamauzu and The After Years tracks. This thing here, I say once again, is a VERY BAD rip from a website which has NOTHING other than short, bad quality versions of Final Fantasy IV DS tracks.

I'm surprised that no one notices that he has poor english for being part of the localization team.

Eh. To be fair, localization teams can usually have one or two non-native speakers who were part of the original game development team.

But yes, this rip is just the DS version. Nothing to see here, much to my chagrin.
