My first release in what feels like forever is an old classic, Danny Elfman's wonderful score to one of, if not the best, Tim Burton's best films, Edward Scissorhands. This release is unique in that it utilizes three different sources (the commentary/isolated score track from the Bluray disc, the 4.0 track for the film, and the official album) and contains the track that has yet to be released, Show and Tell. The isolated score track was utilized for 90% of the score while the official album and 4.0 track were used to fill in gaps when Danny Elfman's commentary kicked in. I worked really hard to keep consistent volume and quality and since some of the cues weren't officially released so to make up for the missing pieces of the score that the commentary is over I utilized the 4.0 track so there are VERY FAINT SFX but they last no more than two or three seconds. The Show and Tell cue was ripped using the isolated score for the second half and the 4.0 track for the first half. The first half does contain instances of SFX but are very low. Since the commentary takes over the first half of that cue that method was the best available. I felt that this cue had to be included because it is a precursor to the Barber theme. This release also features different versions of several scenes in the film that were edited down or expanded on the album release. The Castle on the Hill cue as heard on the album doesn't differ very much but about halfway through the album version it goes out of sync with the film version so I expect that there is some difference in there but the tracks run the same length. I didn't pick up any differences but felt like including it anyway just in case. I hope you all enjoy this. It was a real labor of love for me and now you can have the most definitive version of this timeless score until the box set comes out.

Lossless won't be entirely possible since the isolated score from both the DVD/Bluray are in lossy 192kbps Dolby Stereo.
