Was this released when the special edition of the movie was first released back in '95? I thought there was a special edition soundtrack which had some additional cues for the additional scenes and some alternate takes of the score?

Indeed this is worth it for the improved sound. More enjoyable listening of this score. Bravo!

Now that I've given it a listen, the sound quality does strike me as much better. If anyone wants to support the label, you can buy this exact version off Amazon Digital for $9.

As far as I have seen, there has never been any expanded release. None of the official releases has any extra music r alt. takes.

thanks OrangeC.

Wish this version was an expanded version with released material remastered but also new material that wasn't in the first release. im pretty sure they missed some stuff. off the bat, i know of something....it sounds like a bell or something. its heard when 800 first spots Connor on his motor bike, when 800 brings a box of roses to The Galleria looking for Connor, when he opens the box to reveal a big gun & tell John to "Get Down". I think the music where 800 saves John from 1000 the 1st time where 800 rides his motorcycle while 1000 commandeers a truck.

This is the best release we are going to get until the master tapes (which are AWOL) are tracked down. Silva wanted to expand, but could not track down the masters and their release window was closing, so they got this (better) version out there instead.

I would not hold breath for an expanded release of this one.

''I would not hold breath for an expanded release of this one.''

not that Silva's efforts were not great if they did indeed search for the master tapes. but im sure efforts from Silva & maybe other labels or companies as well would be greater if a T2 Expanded Score petition was made & many signed it. im sure it'll happen one day. after all, T2 only came out in 95. yet expanded scores of 1960's Batman movie, Predator, I think Terminator: The Definitive Edition includes all the music from the film, 1960's Batman movie, 1984 Robocop, pretty much all or most of Elfman's scores is gonna be released next month in an Elfman & Burton box set. its just a matter of time.

Unfortunately, that could mean nothing. If the master tapes are indeed lost, there's not much they'd be able to do.

Placed an order for the Silva Remaster, they deserve it.

They had to rework everything.

Yea, someone was saying they looked for the masters, but they are just plain missing. The composer does not have a copy either. So I guess barring a re-recording session, there will never be an expanded T-2.

No good asking there, although they have the complete score, they will not ever release it. I know it exists, I have seen proof of it as mono versions appear on HOTF's YouTube account.

I think that Silva Screen could have bought the tracks from the mixer for that score though. A T2 "Expanded" does exist. Due to board rules, I cannopt share the majority of it here (as it was made pre-Silva Screen release, and so that makes it based on the Varese Saraband ST). But if you like, and if the board rules permit me to, I can post the unreleased cues here. There's only one or two there though.

I still don't know what is up with those two guys. I do not doubt they have the deal, just their explanation of it. Here, and in other places, they claim they ripped from the dvd and cd sources, and cleaned the fx. They insist they have software that removes fx with no degredation to the music. If they have a rip, it has fx. If they have the masters somehow, it will be clean, but not a good thing to post willy nilly. Either way these guys are...off. Silva probably would not have bought from them, as I figure what they have is an illicit copy, which would have led to legal issues.

You know what? They could have re-recorded the score for Judgement Day. It wouldn't sound different than the original since it's synth music.

I would really appreciate it if you could PM me your complete score. T2 is my Grail of scores...or even the missing cues. From when the T-800 identifies John in the canal to the end of the canal chase are like gaping holes in my collection.

Hi everyone!
Coudn't help but notice all the searching everyone is going through on this for a Judgement Day complete.

I have a version that leads with this tracklisting. I can't remember exactly where I got it, it was a long time ago. But if anyone doesn't have it I will upload it asap.

1. Opening Title
2. War Against The Machines
3. Main Title (Terminator Theme)
4. Terminator Arrival
5. T1000 Arrival
6. Escape From The Galleria
7. Canal Chase
8. Sarah On The Run
9. Escape From The Hospital
10. Desert Suite
11. Nuclear Nightmare
12. Attack On Dyson
13. Arm Surgery
14. Our Gang Goes To Cyberdyne
15. "Trust Me"
16. John And Dyson Into The Vault
17. S.W.A.T. Team Attack
18. "I'll Be Back"
19. Helicopter Chase
20. Tanker Chase
21. "Hasta La Vista, Baby"
22. Into The Steel Mill
23. Cameron's Inferno
24. Terminator Impaled
25. Terminator Revives
26. T1000 Terminated
27. It's Over ("Goodbye")

The only problem is, it's not exactly high quality audio. Most of it is in 128, and some of the tracks fluctuate between 96 and 128. But it's in stereo and there is no SFX. So if anyone wants it, shout. I'm not sure what the official release was like, so it might be nothing new! :)
