What happen to the old aeons? Man I miss Odin. he was so RAD!

lol! I know what you mean, but he'll probably come back in another FF. I liked Quezacotl too, just found out that in real life he's an Aztec God. :)

Seeing Odin return in every FF is just boring when instead you can create new ones. Innovation :D that's what FF stands for ;)

No there's still some of the old ones...(ahem) classic ones. They switched out Quezacotl for Valefor (see attached picture of Valefor)they look very similar, but Valefor doesn't use lightening, they gave that power to a new Aeon, a unicorn named Ixion.

I thought this was a good place to post it since I am not just talking about one game but MANY! for example in FF9 and 8 there is no odin. I think the last time I saw odin was in FF5 or 6. I forgot which game it was but I found him in some underground city that was forgotten long ago. I think the story goes when some god fell in love with a mortal lady and there was this huge war about it. He was band and turn into a statue. the group found him and was allowed to use him as a aeon.

Odin was in FF7 and FF8. Remember in FF8? They had that really cool animation, where Odin would just show up unexpectedly on his horse in the rain, and defeat all your foes.

That is true with the odin. Sometimes I wish I had more controle over him. = (

7 I think is the last time I was actually able to summon Odin. He was in 8, but it was random, and he was in 9, but it was an FMV. However, the FF always have new summons, and only some are classics. Remember, 8 was the only one to feature Quezacotal. The main lighting summon is Ramuh who also isn't in 10. So expect to always see new summons, but you will always see Ifrit, Shiva, and Bahamut. The famous trio.

Moogue - I don't know for sure. Now that you mention it, I think I remember something about it, but maybe it's just because of how he reacts when we first see them meet.

I dont think Shiva and Ifrit are lovers. One, Ifrit is too.... inhuman. Second, and most importantly, Shiva is a man. Yes, thats right, a man. In hindu mythology, Shiva the destroyer is a male god of destruction... maybe he's just post op?

Well the Shiva in FF is definitely no man. And I don't think they are lovers, its just when you think of Ifrit, you think of Shiva, and vice versa. I think FF6 started this when you had to fight both of them together.
