been listening to it and it sounds pretty good to me, no sfx at least that Ive noticed , I love this score, if it is a dvd rip its a nice job.

Well, yea, but if it has no fx, then perhaps it was leaked. It has happened before. I will know soon enough, put it on my ipod. If there's fx, then I'll delete it and let ya know. But moonie said he didn't hear any?

The "new" tracks are quite sub-par in audio quality compared to the album tracks. This isn't a leak. Just fan made I'm guessing.
I do hope they release the complete score sometime though!

i never said it wasn't a bootleg, Ie not an official release. I said it does not sound terrible, and there are no fx. It is def not a dvd rip. All I hear quality wise is that many tracks have a noticeable hiss or hum in the background. It is probably more obvious on better equipment. I know it is not a label release, but the source for this seems real enough. I have yet to see anyone here, no matter how talented, produce a rip that is absolutely fx free. This is.

By the way, there is indeed a third album for this movie. There was the intrada release, which I shared a few weeks ago, there was this bootleg, and there was the southern cross release. for more info about it: Last Starfighter, The- Soundtrack details - SoundtrackCollector.com (http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/title/1965/Last+Starfighter%2C+The). it has a different tracklist, no idea if these are any different from the Intrada release, and 2 songs. Can't remember if any of this stuff is on the bootleg, though

The Southern Cross is shorter and older. It was the original release. The 48 minute Intrada is the definitive official release.

And how long is the bootleg. docrate1 said he'd upload it today. I just can't wait. I'm refreshing this page every 5 minutes with excitement! :P

Thanks a lot. I just listened to the whole thing. There is roughly 16 minutes of material that was not on the longer Intrada release from 1995. Sure the tracks that come from the CD sound somewhat better and there is some small amount of noise but it is not that noticeable and - most important of all - there are no sound FX. So it is really a nice find. Thank you again for some additional material from one of my favorite scores.
