I felt like doing a quick NES soundtrack last night so I picked this early Iwata work. The full title is Might and Magic Book One: Secret of the Inner Sanctum, or just Might & Magic: Secret of the Inner Sanctum in America. This was only his fifth game job. I used the NotSoFatso plugin for Winamp and the NSF file, which I tagged according to the arranged album. It's fully stereo and I think I've found a really good mix setting, much better than the plugin's default. I then added some reverb; it only takes a relatively small amount to fill out the sound of NES music. I hope your ears like what I've done. The arranged album by Keiichi Maruyama is taken from Galbadia Hotel and included here for your downloading convenience.

My rip is MP3 encoded with LAME 3.99.5 at V0 (average of 258 kbps, pretty generous for this type of music) and the arranged album was encoded with LAME 3.96 at V0 (highest quality).

Alternately, you can download my timed and tagged NSFe here (http://slickproductions.org/nsfe.php), get the NotSoFatso plugin (http://slickproductions.org/programs/NotSoFatso/NotSoFatso_v.851.rar) for Winamp, and make your own stereo mix!

Thanks for the rip! The music in this game is fantastic, especially Iwata's take on Canon in D for the title screen.

nothingtosay: You still have this and Revolter you could reupload? Multiupload takes me to some weird site now.

BTW: Is that a Soundgarden reference? :P

I second the request for reupload, if anyone has it.

I have it, but I don't know how to upload music.

Is anyone able to reupload this? The original link now redirects to a very shady site that wants you to install a program.

^Yeah, I'll second this. Never even knew this existed until now, love Iwata's music.

Just a bit of a bump to find someone who might be able to reupload. I've been looking for the arrange album for some time now and would certainly appreciate it.

Another bump in the hope of finding someone who can reupload. Please don't let this disappear off the face of the internets.

I sent him a PM regarding this issue weeks ago and heard nothing back, despite the fact that he continued to post in other threads afterward.

At this point, I would say that he either does not care at all about this upload or that the bad link was intentional on his part.

Either way, I was able to find the arrange album elsewhere with a bit of searching. If he continues to leave you guys hanging, head back into the Google wilderness and you should soon come across it.

Hey all. I haven't been around here much for awhile besides grabbing something quickly and leaving. I don't have the original thing I made anymore, but due to the demand over the past year and a half, I figured I should upload something. So I redid this quickly and have updated the link.

No, I was not not always linking to a scam site. MultiUpload was owned by MegaUpload and went down along with it. Somebody bought the domain and is now doing that with it.

Also, very belatedly, to dissident93, I re-recorded Revolter this summer for reuploading... and then my fucking hard drive fucking quit working on me. So it's pretty much ready to go if I can get it fixed when I have the money to spare for it. Don't really feel like doing it again right now when I potentially could save all the work. It's really tedious recording and editing that stuff. And someone asked me about my username and Soundgarden once before, but I don't know whatever song of theirs says that. I was actually thinking of a song by The Strokes, "Ask Me Anything".

Updated link unfortunately doesn't work.
