There is no official CD release of this soundtrack (only digital), so I wouldn't expect a "proper" CUE+LOG release. Anyway, the tracks seem to be truly lossless (check spectrogram image).

The volume seems a bit low to me, a lossy version I have sounds louder and better than this, I think ReplayGain was applied to the files. Is there anyway to check and, in case, resolve the issue?

if volume is an issue check out MP3Gain (http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/), which losslessly modifies the volume multiplier.. I've used it a bit (and a bit on various game OSTs) and it works excellently.

According to VGMdb's info, there was no CD release of the first Assassin's Creed's soundtrack.

It should be from Qobuz (http://www.qobuz.com/telechargement-album-mp3/Jesper-Kyd-Bande-Originale-du-jeu-video-Assassins-Creed-2007/Musique-de-film/Jesper-Kyd/Ubisoft-Music/default/fiche_produit/id_produit-3760153647459.html?qref=sre_1_2).

Both FLAC and mp3 files are deleted on Filesonic.
