Don't know if there already is a topic on this but I just read that KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep & 358/2 Days Original Soundtrack will be released on Feb. 02, 2011.

I can't wait to see the official tracklisting/artwork for it! I'm so getting this one! Mainly for the BBS/BBS Final Mix tracks on it!

I believe the music we hear in the DS is not in its original form. Rather, the original pieces are downgraded to fit in the DS, as it can be seen in the Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (disc 1 is the DS version, disc 2 is the original sound before being downgraded). I would not say it's impossible, since the original sound is very likely much better than the DS version, but we do have to hope that the score is released in its original form.

It's should've been better than the one they're showing. It could've been like the image they used on TGS, I believe (the one where Coded is Centered on top, BBS on Low Left Corner, and 358/2 Days on Low Right Corner with Mickey in the Center of the image)

No prob! At first I tried editing it by ripping the intro part from the Cursed Coach Battle from the Mirage Arena. Didn't go really well. Until I saw it on the Official OST Website, I ripped the intro of the song and got it perfectly.

OH GOD, I just realised something. They remastered the songs from 358/2 Days for the OST! Click on the second track from the tiny menu and the top left corner!

REALLY looking forward to seeing this soundtrack release. LOVE the KH games. The thing I'm awaiting is to hear Re:Coded and 358/2 Days's scores in a more undigitized form, and in their purest orchestrated form. Also, can't wait to hear the final few boss tracks of 358/2 Days from this. ^_^

It's possible that "Extreme Encounters" is the BBS version of "The Encounter". It looks like this CD is breaking the tradition of giving remixes the same name as the original. For example, the Radiant Garden battle theme is called "Black Garden", not "Scherzo Di Notte".

EDIT: Wait, "Extreme Encounter"'s sample is up. Okay, well, it's not "Extreme Encounters", then, but don't lose hope. My reasoning is still valid.

Since the OST was just released today, only on physical format, I don't think the OST will be available today, unless someone from buys the soundtrack in the stores in Japan, otherwise, I have no idea how long it will take for the real OST to be up. I'd give it 3 to 5 days, tops. Hopefully, it'll be online sooner than that. A lot of people all over the world are looking forward to it, as everyone else here too! Look at the new Distant Worlds album. It was released on the 19th of January, and it wasn't online until the 24th. That's truly something.. well, we will have to wait and see... unfortunately. : (
