This is the CD included with the recently released Super Mario Bros 25th Anniversary Book.



There are 3 tracks on the disc:

1. Super Mario Bros. - from PRESS START 2009
2. Super Mario Galaxy 2008 - from PRESS START 2008
3. New Super Mario Bros. Wii - from PRESS START 2010

The first is basically a rehash of the original Orchestral Game Concerts medley.
The second does not deviate far from the music in the original game, but the third is brand new (to my knowledge) and is pretty damn good.

The part in the middle is the castle theme from New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Unless you were suggesting that you'd prefer an orchestral version of it, then it's already in a Mario game. :P

Thanks I refused to buy the exact same game I owned almost twenty years ago to get the CD and reading its only three tracks made me less interested but as its a medley I'll let it slide and wait for inevitable bargain bin price on eBay or whatever . . .

Is it any good, even for someone who can't understand japanese..? I'm going to Japan in may, I'd like to get one copy there, if I still can find it.

It's pretty cool, yeah.
You can't do much else but stare at the nostalgic pictures if you don't read Japanese, but you get the CD, a small poster, a bunch of stickers and a 67-page guide to Super Mario All-stars, all for the low low price of 840 yen (tax included!), so it's definitely worth it if you're a fan.
