I'm looking forward for this too, but:

1. Correct me if I'm wrong but this box was pushed back to February.
2. I already see flame wars about uploading (such as Batman Returns LE) :)

Yes, I see problems ahead, but there are a few who are literally dying to get at this, so support for it's posting may be greater. But as with the Ron Jones set, I bet there will be a shitstorm if it does go up. Either way, ya, it looks like we have a few more months to wait before really worrying about it, so maybe things will calm down a bit before then.

I am afraid that that is the end of this great forum.Frankly Yes Blog was also crushing

It is not the end, just a little more restrictive, but that can be worked around. Just because something is not posted openly, does not mean it is not being shared. And this, the Superman Box, the RJ box, these are massive releases. Posting them at all is iffy, but posting them the week of release is just too much. Just have to be more patient, more savy than that. And, I am one who asked Jessie to post the RJ stuff. Lets just say lesson learned. But look, despite protests and threats, we have had Batman Returns, Home Alone, Star Trek V, and Jade all posted here within a week, or a little more, of their release. I do not see how that points to a decline of the site. We have also had tangled, Tron Legacy with all the bonus material, and the new Narnia. I do not think we are hurting much. And so far we are just speculating on what might happen in the possible future on the off chance a member has happened to be one of the few who actuall has bought and received that set, and has had time to sit down, rip, pack and upload the thing. I think we are jumping the gun hoping for a link, let alone declarations of doom.

Also, I was at frankly, and I got the impression that Isbum shut it down for a variety of reasons, it was much more complicated than just the varese issue.

Hmm. Can't read any of that, but the one pic seems to be a thank you for the pre-order, and that it will ship in Feb. If so, how can we search for a release of a rip of something not yet shipped.

Ah, I see. But that bonus is mostly end/main titles? Is there actually any unreleased music on that?

i will try to translate .. some of the guys there ordered the box. but a mistake happend. to much orders and to less boxes. but after that something like the second mistake happend (in german we called "the right hand does not know what the left hand make). they received/delivered by post (fedex, king of queens car etc .. dont know the word in englisch) the bonus cd (see the home made picture). thats it. the point is. they have the bonus cd.

unreleased music ? i raed something like 2 or 3 tracks on it yes. but i dont know, some people are talking: ohhh, its so different music, what a nice surprise. and there are others who tells that this is the same music and u can burn it by urself with the old stuff. so, we will see ;)

The bonus CD's only unreleased cues are the film version of the Beetlejuice main titles and the Music Box suite.

It's nice to have Elfman's autograph (although I've never been much to care about autographs), it serves as more as a teaser as to what will be arriving on my doorstep in February.

I suggest you to wait at least a week or two, for the lossless. A thing is just released and the company sees a perfect copy of it floating on the web, it's not going to make them happy.

Yeeeaaaa.....the RonJones set, for instance was up as mp3, and we were fine. It was the posting of FLAC, that seems to have got attention. Could be coincidence, I am sure. But the FLAC new release posts seem to garner a lot of bad attention, and get killed quickly. But hey, I guess we will see if someone is just crazy enough to do it. It's a lot of work. But there are no rules against it...yet.

both of these points have proven to be true so i agree with them. i can wait a whole month for lossless if thats better.

Well the box is sold out,i hope that someone post this in mp3 i dont prefer flac

why? flac is lossless. with mp3, you lose quality. if it was posted in flac, you could just get a converter (DVD Video Soft Studio or Foobar) & just convert it to mp3 or another lossless format, WAV. i hope flac will be uploaded for lossless lovers like me. mp3 lovers can download either of the converters above that takes me little space & just easily convert to mp3 if they want but be prepared for quality loss.

i used to prefer mp3 till i learned of quality loss & the fact that i can convert from flac to WAV without losing any quality as both formats are lossless & that WAV can be put into & played on iTunes/ipod. so now, i strongly prefer flac & have become a lossless lover.

Well, some of us still can't do anything with FLAC. And freeware converters all have little quirks. The one I had been using seemed ok, but anything I converted refused to be named and imputted into Media Player. I know it was the converter, since I converted the same score with a different one, and all was fine. Besides, I rather think FLAC will draw too much of the wrong attention. I for one, do not have a decent set of speakers, so I really hear no difference between high quality MP3 or lossless, and lossless uses way more room that i don't have right now. Either way, I am sure it will get posted both ways. IF it gets posted at all. I know of two or three members here who have already vowed not to post it, for some reason.

Unless if your a real n00b then converting with dbpoweramp is probably the easiest app.

dbpoweramp is very good. i had that. only reason i use DVD Video Soft is it can take the audio from youtube videos in WAV. plus, it can do other things. its basically all in 1 & I have not seen any quirks of which you speak babydoll. i can name my files easily anyway i wish. for strickly converting purposes only, i highly recommend foobar. try all 3 & just stick with what works best 4 u. dont knock it till you've tried it............using other programs lol
