I wondered where all the sudden downloads were coming from after about a week of uploading the soundtrack! This is actually my personal rip, haha. At least I know that everyone here can enjoy it!

If you'd like my original post, here it is, along with a review of the game itself:

Right, sorry about that. I just found the Mediafire link, not the actual source of it. I'll add your details to the OP now.

No problem at all! I should have shared it here first, but a lot was going on at the time, haha. Thank you for starting the thread! I appreciate the updated info up there, too. *thumbs up* 999 fans have to stick together and help each other out, so in the end, it's all good.

Thanks to both you guys. If it hadn't been posted here I wouldn't have seen it, and it wouldn't have been posted here if Tagami hadn't shared it in the first place.

Glad you could enjoy it as well! Two somewhat similar soundtracks that initially came to mind were the Baroque OST for the PS2+Wii release and the Togainu no Chi OST (the PS2 version has more overall tracks than the original PC version).

Ghost Trick OST came out recently, if you like DS soundtracks, give that one a try. I'd look into Shinji Hosoe's other works, he has quite a diverse set of soundtracks; some that are really trippy and unusual and others that are far more melodic.

Xenosaga 2, the in-game music, also done by Shinji Hosoe (but the cutscenes music are from Yuki Kajiura)

Odd. The soundtrack is missing a few songs, like the one here (MAJOR SPOILERS): YouTube - 999: 9 Hours - 9 Persons - 9 Doors (6th End) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igeSQvzkIRI)

I don't ever recall that song playing in the game itself. Also, there are no sound effects in the video and the song never changes even during transitions, so I think the uploader included a song they felt would work.

Awesome! Thank you so much! :D

I really wish I knew where to buy the soundtrack... I've been looking everywhere for it with no luck :(

Also, if anyone is interested in Shinji Hosoe's stuff, I highly recommed checking out the SAMPLING MASTERS Thread (Thread 75443) someone put up (Shinji Hosoe is AKA Sampling Masters MEGA, and Ayako Saso, who did some of the SFX in 999 is Sampling Masters AYA)

SAMPLING MASTERS Thread (Thread 75443)

Though, 999's soundtrack is a lot less "Sampling Masters"-y, but still very good :)

Thanks again!

I really wish I knew where to buy the soundtrack... I've been looking everywhere for it with no luck :(

I went through the same ordeal, and the only place I had any luck at was Amazon.JP:
Amazon.co.jp 極限脱出 9時間9人9の扉 OST (http://www.amazon.co.jp/%E6%A5%B5%E9%99%90%E8%84%B1%E5%87%BA9%E6%99%82%E9% 96%939%E4%BA%BA9%E3%81%AE%E6%89%89-%E3%82%B5%E3%82%A6%E3%83%B3%E3%83%89%E3%83%88%E3%8 3%A9%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF-%E3%82%B2%E3%83%BC%E3%83%A0%E3%83%BB%E3%83%9F%E3%8 3%A5%E3%83%BC%E3%82%B8%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF/dp/B002WJZZ4I/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1299120394&sr=8-5)
They do ship internationally, and it's totally worth it. :)

Thank you for the link to the other thread as well! I'll be sure to give it a look!

I've loved Shinji Hosoe ever since I listened to the in-game tracks he did for Xenosaga II. This game also has a great soundtrack and I really like this composer. Thanks a bunch for the upload!

Man; I'd been looking for this FOREVER - been hooked on Zero Escape, so decided to look again - awesome!

Also, in case you guys don't know, there apparently IS now an artbook with art from 999 and Zero Escape together, as I saw it available on ebay last week (and promptly bought it, though it hasn't arrived yet)

I really hate when uploaders do that sometimes since it gets your hopes up when they do in fact use some really good song choices had that experience with Theresia and yes you are right since the instruments and sound don't match what the ds sound chip is capable of lol.
