'Sorry if this has been posted before' What is your most memorable gaming moment? I mean as in when something happened in a game - whether it was something a character said or the way an enemies' body happened to position itself..

Having to watch myself kill Andrew Ryan and being unable to do anything to stop it. Poor bastard didn't need to die that way :

one time in depot in goldeneye 64, i was being followed by a guard, then he stopped in the middle of the stairs, i throwed a grenade and it landed right below him. he turned around to shoot at me but the grenade exploded and the guy skyrocketed trough the ceiling, never to be seen again.
me and my friend (who was watching) nearly laughed to death.

This is my biggest one, and I might have a number of people agree with me on it...

MGS 3:
When the post fight scene with The Boss starts in Metal Gear Solid 3, you're all prepped for letting her go...AND FUCKING HIDEO KOJIMA MAKES YOU PULL THE TRIGGER!!! Oh gawd, I hated that Jap SOB SO much at that moment... I acknowledge his brilliance, but I will continue to hate him forever just for that one moment.

me and my neighbor were playing return to castle wolfenstein in coop, we were at the trolley, he step out and looked down and said "hey look, im floating!"
i promptly kicked him and he fell down and died, not before his character screamed.
he and i, like with my friend with goldeneye, nearly died laughing

this one happened recently.
in halo 2, coop with another friend who i hadnt seen in a while.
we were at the level you first use the arbiter, with the banshees (or whatever the flying ones are called, i always mix up the names). so we were flying around doing shit, when i accidentaly get out of the plane and land on top of an empty building, my friend comes over and kills me so i can respawn on a different place, i didnt, since he also got off his ship to kill me, so i tell him im gonna retaliate, he kills me again and jumps off the bulding, dying too.
it was hilarious.

The ending to Link's Awakening. I did NOT see that coming. :O

Also, in Silent Hill:
When you have to fight possessed/demon Cybil at the fairgrounds.

Just their general existance, and most of everything within them...I'm not picky. :D

i remember one.
call of duty, world at war, der riese nazi zombies map.
last guy alive, threw a monkey bomb to gather them and kill them, unfortunately MB bounced off a wall and landed next to me, and in an instant the shitload of zombies that were following me completely surruonded me, i was desperately trying to escape, when in the last second before the bomb went off, i managed to escape. for the remainder of the turn me and the 3 dead guys were in awe, as in HOW THE FLYING FUCK DID I SURVIVE THAT?

I would probably say the ending of Xenosaga Episode I for me. This was the first game where I saw the ending and actually cried. Hearing Spirit (Kokoro) didn't make it any easier either. Same deal with Episode III.

That's definitely up on my list. But for me it is the mission "Loose Ends" in Modern Warfare 2. It's the mission where your in a ghillie suit, and eventually need to assassinate Makarov. So intense.

Beating orochi for the first time in Okami, and the whole EPIC yet hilarious scene with Sasumo that went with it - I love Amaterasu so much, she's one cool wolf! :P

Hrm..... Well, two off the top of my head-

1. Perfect Dark- the scene at the end of the arctic plain crash stage where it is revealed that Mr. Blond is about 5 miles from human. Although it's never shown, I'm quite sure he went all velociraptor on Trent's ass and gutted him.

2. The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker- Two. The opening story legitimately had me experiencing a feeling of loss when it is revealed that Hyrule-that-was DID eventually fall. The second moment, which is actually a Crowning Moment of Awesome (TM and C TVTropes.com) is actually seeing at least a small part of what OOT Hyrule became.
