Well, they did a grand job in the music department I'll say that. 189 tunes in all in various categories. I just love the Lounge Music section.

The good thing now is at least we know the artists and name of tracks, thanks to that exhaustive list.

I hope these tracks can be ripped directly from the source medium.

I agree. I've always been a fan of Gran Turismo's music. Mostly because of the menu music.

I'd definitely like a rip of this, too. I'm loving the jazzy, lounge music they've got going in this game. A lot of the tracks were disabled in the options menu and wouldn't even be heard if you didn't turn them on or use the in-game slideshow option! Crazy!

I am pretty sure I got them all... if there is some I missed I'll get to them after the weekend. The title seems familiar but to be honest I was dead tired when doing the rips so I might have forgotten.

How is the music sorted when the game is installed to HDD, is it possible to extract them from the source?

I have almost all of the licensed music. I just need one song: Blah by Whitey. Then I have all 42 licensed soundtracks (this does not include the jazz, lounge, and classical music and other music that are original compositions). So if someone can help me find that song I can upload just a licensed soundtrack.

This is brilliant! How did you manage to rip music out of GT5 (I have done music extracting with GT4 and GT3 with .Vol Extractor for those unencryption .vol file) but the GT5.Vol seems very hard to even extract, I heard you need a ps3 encryption key and a proper tool to do it (tried with certain hash key which maybe it would of worked and dragon .vol extractor and many other tools in lew of solutions but failed), Hopefully you'll express your knowledge on this? (pm or in any way you can), thanks again for the rips (took months on finding lead to this topic) and this thread
