Is it still in the process of being uploaded, at the moment the file doesn't seem to download completely.

Give it a few, can't complain about free hosters. I'l try and download it and see whats up.

So, I'm downloading it. It should get to around 510mb. That's how big the loss-less one is.

I'm at 350, it seems to be good so far.....

Alright, it stopped at 488, and extracted to 511 on my Mac. You can successfully download it now. =) Enjoy!

Hmm, okay, I'l reupload to megaupload, this host seems very unreliable.

Glad to see FileDropper is working! Didn't work for me for very long...

Try MediaFire...Rarely ever see them take stuff down and very reliable and can do more than 1 simultaneous/parallel download. You'll have to split it into parts though. Thanks a ton! Hope these are as good as you say!

Alright, I'l try to upload it sometime today.

Nice, I'm looking forward to listening to it! Love the atmosphere and ambiance of the Prime Trilogy soundtracks. I didn't know that Metroid Prime had an OST, though? And any plans on doing the same for Echoes and Corruption (especially Corruption)?

Again, many thanks for your hard work.

Yeah dude please re-up to Mediafire. I used my browser plus a downloading program (JDownloader), and it only got to 73.02 MB for the MP3's and WinRAR says the file is corrupt so it can't extract. FileDropper ain't good.

Hm...Wish I could hear it :/ Filedropper still stops around 80-100 Mb for me for no reason, it seems. How big is the file size for the 320 kbps mp3's? And if you're working on uploading to Mediafire, thanks a ton!

Mediafire for MP3 320 kbps:

Download Here In Mp3 LAME 3.98 @ 320kbps CBR: Metroid Prime Original Soundtrack [Remastered].zip (http://www.mediafire.com/?tfnneohq56q42vj)

Mediafire for Apple Lossless:

Download Here In Apple Lossless: Metroid Prime OST - Apple Lossless (http://www.mediafire.com/?8fvmoaefxxqkp)

MediaFire for FLAC

Download Here In FLAC: Metroid Prime OST - FLAC (http://www.mediafire.com/?u2k582gx2789b)
Keep in mind that the FLAC files are converted from Apple Lossless (Level 5 FLAC compression) and NOT using assett's method where he extracted straight from the game CD then converted it. Not sure if this means any quality will be lost or not, but just letting you know.

For Apple Lossless & FLAC Only:
You'll have to download all 3 parts within the folder. Then you will need to use WinRar (http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm) (or UnRarX (http://homepage.mac.com/pnoriega/unrar.html) for Mac) and just use the downloaded program and double-click or otherwise extract only the first file ("Metroid Prime Original Soundtrack.part1.rar"). The program will automatically detect that the other parts are present and will "combine" them then extract all the files.

I had lots of trouble with FileDropper, so when it finally worked, I uploaded it to MediaFire right away in case others had problems with it too.

(assett1, feel free to [please] put this in the first post.)

Thanks for the effort! I downloaded the 320 kbps... but it doesn't want to import into my iTunes library. :( But it sounds really good!

The Apple lossless... that's a .aac file, right? As in, the file type that iTunes rips to? Would someone be able to mirror that link, please?

"Apple Lossless is not a variant of AAC (which is a lossy format), but rather a distinct lossless format that uses linear prediction similar to other lossless codecs such as FLAC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_Lossless_Audio_Codec) and Shorten (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shorten)."

As for importing into iTunes, try these:
1: Drag and drop files into sidebar under the "Library" category. A blue box should highlight and a "+Copy" dialogue box should appear next to your cursor.

OR

2: With the "Music" subcategory selected under the "Library" category, drag and drop the files onto the list of Music files already present. Before releasing the mouse, a blue border should appear around the window containing your audio files along with the same "+Copy" dialogue box next to your cursor.

OR

3: Right-click on the file(s), mouse over "Open With..." and select "iTunes." If "iTunes" is not an option, select "Other..." at the bottom of the list, then select "iTunes," then click "Open."

OR

4: Copy/Cut your audio files. Direct yourself to the (Windows): C:/Users/whoever.you.are/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Automatically Add to iTunes/ (OS X): ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Automatically Add to iTunes/ folder. Paste your files there. They should almost instantly "disappear" (move to an organized folder within the "iTunes Music" folder) and be added to your iTunes library.

Working on compressing and uploading the MediaFire Apple Losless for you. Was only going to do it if someone asked. Ha ha. Next I'll upload FLAC for those who don't favor Apple Lossless (guess they don't use iTunes/iPods!).

@wad11656: No amount of dragging/dropping/cutting/copying/pasting is working for the mp3's. As for my clarification question... I obviously wasn't paying close enough attention to the opening post! And thanks for re-uploading the Apple Lossless files for me! :)

@Seary: Funky. O.o I guess last resort is burn them to a CD using a different program (maybe just Windows explorer?) then importing them into iTunes from the CD? Not sure if there would be quality loss using that method, though

And no prob. Here's the Apple Lossless MediaFire mirror:

Download Here In Apple Lossless: Metroid Prime OST - Apple Lossless (http://www.mediafire.com/?8fvmoaefxxqkp)

FLAC Mirror:

Download Here In FLAC: Metroid Prime OST - FLAC (http://www.mediafire.com/?u2k582gx2789b)

Same method of extraction applies to this as with Apple Lossless.

Thanks wad11656! Question though, did you download these files from the filedropper link I posted? Because I have uploaded many versions of this soundtrack, the one from filedropper being the newest and best sounding one. So if you got this download from somewere other than that, it is a old remaster. Also, sorry about not responding to the thread in ages.... got a speeding ticket and got grounded for a few weeks.. >.<

What? Where'd my response go? I swear I responded to this... a LONG time ago! ha ha oh well...Yeah, it's the most current one from FileDropper! I was happy to do it! Luckily I've used FileDropper and immediately downloaded them and re-uploaded to MediaFire to preserve them! Thanks for all your work and sorry for the grounding!

Enjoy!

I know mp3 quality isn't the same as ALAC/FLAC, but before I download, is it comparable to the ALAC rip? Thanks.

Well, the mp3s are encoded at 320 kbps so they are transparent to the FLAC/ALAC. They are fine to listen to if you don't mind the fact that they are mp3s... ;)

This is just Prime's CD. Fusion was too hard to remaster and make sound decent.... 8-bit stuff is hard....

I have done echoes soundtrack if you want to take a look.

Hey man. Looks my trusty ol' Mediafire has failed us, despite my suggestion. ha ha...Can you consider re-upping your updated 2011 version of the soundtrack?

To be honest, with your previous release, I was so busy re-uploading it for everyone, I kinda never got a chance to listen to it much. XD I'd LOVE to hear your improved version of the soundtrack!!

Thanks mate!
