I think this is just the isolated score from the DVD/Bluray. And for those of you who immediately gets scared thinking "Oh no! Is it full of SFX!?!" - It's not, because that is NOT what an isolated score is. An isolated score is where you have the menu option on the DVD/Bluray of chosing to listen to the music only (as a separate audio track) while watching the film.

I have this available in my thread for isolated scores here:

and it is in FLAC which will give you the best possible quality but still not true lossless, since the source itself is not lossless. Anyway, get it here or check out the version in my thread :)

My audio related knowledge is far from complete but I have a lot of experience and I know what I'm hearing and seeing: a bad quality and a frequency cut off line at ~19.5 kHz on spectrogram. I'm not and audiophile and my stereo is nothing fancy and audio files with frequencies around 19 kHz still can be audibly great. But this I can tell you with certainty: this release is of pure quality!

I've talked about it with other people and with the uploader himself about this. The only question remains- was the Blu-ray itself in such low quality?

Very welcome John, to my knowledge there was no official expanded release of this soundtrack, so what we have here is most likely a rip from the isolated score track on the DVD or Blu-ray.

There was no other official release. If there are any recording sessions floating around? Who knows, i haven't come across any yet. So, as you say, this is either from the DVD or the BluRay. The quality of the DVD is lower than that of the BluRay. DVD has a frequency cutoff at about 18 kHz and the BluRay at 20 kHz. Any which way, you will never get true lossless, but a flac rip of the Bluray gives you the best quality possible (and when i say quality, i mean only the technical side of it, not any remastering). There are also rips of the region 2 DVD floating around and these might not have the pitch correction needed.

And this is just me presenting the facts, nothing else :) and i know the facts since i own both the DVD and the Bluray.
