Hi everybody! I'm Fawzi Allouache, the composer of Castlevania: Tears of Pain, a fan game who is going to be made by me too. It will be an action game with Julius Belmont!

Is the game by any chance going to be about 1999 incident in the old Castlevania timeline? Because Konami ditched it and rebooted with Lords of Shadow leaving the most crucial thing of the old universe unexplained - what really happened in 1999.

I wouldn't say they will get a lawsuit. They aren't "remaking" an already existing game like Chrono Trigger Resurrection guys did, and there is MANY Castlevania hacks all over the web, none of them ever got a C&D and alike. There are even undubs, translations and translation fixes. I wish you good luck with your game, hope you can show some trailer though.

Is it going to be the old Castlevania style gameplay or the Metroidvania style gameplay?

He won't get lawsuits unless he sell the game for monetary profits. Or unless Konami feels like being a giant corporate dick which seems unlikely given the amount of homebrewn vanias out there.

I really like the soundtrack so far. When's the game being released? I would actually love to play it.

Thanks all! Sorry if my english is bad, i'm french. So i'm a student in video game, in Paris. I work with an another student of the Montreal's Ubisoft Campus who will be my Level Designer. The OST has been composed to promote my project and I'm actually working on the Game Design Book. The forum is under construction and i need an Art Designer (from deviantart for example) to complete my team.

The game will be an action game with Julius Belmont as hero. There will be an alternative to play with Alucard. I've got a lot of features to put in the game without forget the spirit of the classic castlevania games. There wiil be 6 levels with 4 primes levels. The graphic and monster will be taken from CSotN and from the DS Games. I'll try to modify the graphic and mix them to have an original style. I can't say anymore about the project!

Indeed, "Can't Wait Untill The Night" track is what was the official Theme of Julius in the pre-reboot Castlevania universe.
Hope you will think about it and add it aswell ;)

I don't like the fact that all of the other games have been pushed aside and thrown away just because of the reboot. :( In a manner of speaking, of course.

It's funny. People say castlevania was thrown aside for the reboot(the 1999 one anyways) but the ending hints at the 1999 event. Gaberiel Belmont may not be an actual Belmont, but heres the fun bit. He's the bastard child of the cronqvist family.

Cronqvist being dracula after gaining his hands on the philosophers stone and attempted to revive his dead wife.

it doesn't state anywhere that it is a reboot. And it may be just a fools hope, but a fools hope. I honestly kinda want it to happen, deep...deep down inside. Hey, at least it's better then the people who say *spoiler* becomes dracula because of the god mask which *spoiler* anymore.
