As the title states, this is an album dedicated to Choir music used in video game OSTs, some obvious, some not so obvious. This is only a 12 track list, people are able to or well I would really LOVE if people shared music they know that utilizes choir as well, as I have very little to go on if I was ever to make a volume 2. However here is what we have for volume 1.

I love these types of compilations, like Stabby's and Reg's, as they give me the chance to hear cool music for games that i would otherwise have missed, so thanks for the upload :)

*IS downloading* Thanks again for more.

Good music is good music, from any part of the world.
If you know of some non-japanese game choir music SavagE, then perhaps you could post the titles to be part of the next compilation?

I agree with you to some extent. Lets be clear - japanese compositors obviously CAN create great scores, like Kow Otani for SHadow of the Colossus (however he didnt create anything even CLOSE to this score). But japanese culture is kinda 'different' to say at least, so are the games or music. Plus, the composition level often feels dated, like they're still stuck in the nineties.

Fair enough, then lets get a world wide selection of music for the next volume, assuming you still wants suggestions Hinkuto?

Perhaps these are slow burners rather than pulse pounders, but you might like them anyways:
Advent Rising 01. Muse - YouTube - 01 Muse (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSbTviFhHI4)
Tomb Raider Underworld trailer - YouTube - ComicCon - Tomb Raider Underworld CGI Trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oluN9QNufps)

I'll take 90s style Japanese compositions over modern VGM from the western composers in most instances. Sure there are a few exceptions but on the whole I find that Japan has more great game soundtracks than the west.

As for this compilation, I think you picked a lot of great ones here and it's especially nice to see some Xenoblade, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, and Last Ranker. For the next one you absolutely need to include some cues from Dante's Inferno, God of War, Castlevania Lord of Shadows, Killzone 2, Gears of War 2, Assassin's Creed 2 as great examples of solid western game soundtrack use of choir.

Can vol 2 and 3 be uploaded on mediafire? Megaupload doesn't work for my computer...

I'll upload mediafire files soon, as a response to the request for more western VG Music, I was planning to do that. Especially after playing and finishing Lord of Shadows. There will be a more variety of mix between Eastern and Western composers (in this case Vol 4 will have more more Western then eastern)

so, out of 23 tracks I made a playlist that consists of... FIVE! So yes, the score is pretty disappointing. I am sure it works well in the game, but outside of it - not quite.

My favourites are: City of Rome, Rome COuntryside, Echoes of THe ROman Ruins, Desmond Miles and End Fight. Better luck next time, mr. Kyd!

Epic Choir Collection IV is now up for download and is more American based this time to excuse the previous 3 heavily japanese based.
