For those of you who can write music, would you interested in a composers challenge?

what does this composer challenge entail?

You have to re-score a scene from a movie with your own idea on how the music should be in the scene.

that depends.

is this your movie/someone you know's movie, or is it for a movie you/someone you know has nothing to do with?

Or is it just a little fun thing where you choose the score?

"Writing" music and "composing" music are two fairly different concepts, no?

I can write lyrics like a pro, but writing music itself? That's another story.

I think it depends on the person. Some people consider "writing" music as making music while playing. I don't write anything down on paper and just rely solely on memory which isn't that hard because....well, it's my music so kinda hard to forget how to play it. I understand where you're coming from but I highly doubt people who play/write their own music think of writing and composing as separate things. If anything, they'll just say they write music (even though they will play it on an instrument) and not compose.
