This is a great remaster by a person named Sycraft. He did a complete Re-recording of the original Midi files. The Music sounds much more detailed than before without losing its midi character.
I followed his progress for quite some time now. His former releases contained high quality .ogg files "only". When I saw that he finally released a lossless re-recorded version of it, i could not resist but to download. All Credits goes to him.

All I did was a complete tagging job and some cover work. Files are named properly now, with the tracklist in order of their appearance ingame. Now you can "replay" the game by ear.

Note!!!: This is a 24bit/44,1khz release, which comes close to DVD Audio (Standard CD-Audio is 16bit/44,1khz). Some protable Player cannot handle them! In exchange you will get a more dynamic music experience with way less background noise.

Side Note:
This Songpack was originally meant for the "Doomsday" application as a high quality music addon. Doomsday is basically a opengl/directx platform emulator for older dos-based fps games like Heretic, Hexen, Doom 1+2 etc. It will grant you ambient lightning, 3d Models, HQ sound/music/texures, full Windows and Multiplayer support and so on. Definatively worth a look, if you are into those games. All you need is the application and the .wad files of the games.

I highly recommended this Soundtrack. Since there is now official Release, this is the best quality you can get of it.
Have Fun!!!

I'll have an mp3 version up within an hour, if everything goes well... I'll edit this post when the upload ends.

"There are three different versions of the soundtrack available, a low, high and special quality version. The normal quality version is encoded at 128kbps nominal in MP3 format. The high quality version is encoded at 256kbps nominal in OGG format and is good if you own high grade sound equipment and want the most from the soundtrack. The special version is 24-bit lossless FLAC files."
