What is your favorite summon? Mine is Knights of the Round. So much power!

Shiva. ^__^ She doesn't do that much damage compared to the summons you get later, but I love it. *nodnod*

I personally don't really like KoTR that much.. It's just TOO strong, and kinda takes the fun out of the game. ^^;

I love the summon, Bahamut ZERO. It is among the best looking summon in the game. It's also true tat KoTR, it does suck the fun out of the game.

I agree with Ject, Bahamut Zero and regular Bahamut are excellent summons, Odin is very cool too, but KOTR is too powerful against weaker enemies.

Neo Bahamut all the way. It looks way cooler then ZERO. Neo looks just better, I like his wings alot/

Yup, Bahamut ZERO, the Space Dragon. I felt he was best of the three dragon summoners, and I've always loved the mystic surrounding of the dragon anyway, so I'll side with him.

I like Shiva. ^_^ She is pretty iceness. I like the Phoenix summon too because it hurts the enemy and revives any fallen opponents. ^_~

I disagree with that. Sure, in some fights, the summon is quite strong, but when you go against Sephiroth, it does not win the match.

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">KOTR is obviously the best for strength, but as others have said, it can be too powerful sometimes; it makes the game a bit too easy. I think Bahamut or Bahamut ZERO looked the coolest (I didn't like Neo Bahamut that much), but I liekd Odin aswell. Instant death attacks are always great. :D

Choco/Mog- Cheap animation but good for killing enemies that you just want to get out of the way. Low mp cost too!

Shiva- Good for the first disc but later on no need to even equip her.

Ifrit- Better than shiva at times but more enemies nullify fire than ice.

Ramuh- Not too popular, personally I never used him after the first disc. He's just.. To weak, and too much mp!

Titan- Great summon, his attack doesn't look too dangerous and is useless on flying enemies, but very strong on others. A keeper.

Kjata- Never liked kjata. If the enemy is ammune to either fire, ice, lightning, or earth (i'm not sure about earth.. If I'm wrong tell me), the enemy is cured. Usually no good on bosses and since he costs so much mp to use, he's not very useful.

Bahamut- Always useful, nobody can block this attack but later on he is like choco/mog is to you at the beginning of the game (when you have neo and zero)

Typoon- Good attack and good mp cost. Amongst the best of the summons if you get him earlier in the game. (green chocobo).

Neo bahamut- Very low mp cost for his massive strength. Hard to miss.

Leviathan- I always hated leviathan, maybe not just because he's actually a demon in reality, but because of his element, how he looks, and his battle animation.

Pheonix- Costs a pretty high amount of mp but very useful to equip with the final attack. I liked phoenix but he/she just wasn't my favourite.

Bahamut zero- Great attack, mp cost isn't bad for his strength, and always good to use when you are doing things like deciding your next move or doing tifa/cait sith's slot ability.

Odin- What can I say? Atleast he's more helpful in ff7 than he isin ff8 because he's always able to be summoned but hardly ever causes instant death to the enemy.

Hades- Gotta be my favourite one. Just like doomtrain, he inflicts the enemy party with a bunch of status ailments, and also causes a pretty moderate amount of damage.

KOTR- I can't say he really sucks the fun out of the game because he does cost 250 mp and will never kill emerald/ruby/sephiroth with one hit. He's also pretty hard to get.

Did I miss any?? Hope not.

Kujate does no earth damage so you were wrong =P. If you look it up in the game it will say Lightning/Fire/Ice damage. Typhon however does earth as well.

Rauru, I hate to break it to ya, but I think the kid was just asking for your favorite... we appreciate the extensive list of summons, but next time you don't have to put them all, just the ones you like. It saves time and energy...just trying to be helpful.

My favorite is Neo Bahamut!! He's cool and a shoots a cool beam!!!

I like the Bahamuts, and Alexander. The Bahamuts have cool beams and looks cool to me. I like Alexander the same way. I also like Peonex.

All of the Bahamut summons of course ^__^ Not only do they look cool, but I love the sounds they make too.
(Heh heh but my personal fav, is the Choco/Mog one, for the humour anyway) :p

I know he was askin just the favourite summon but I felt like saying what I thought of each one. BTW thanks neo for correcting me I knew that it said just fire/ice/lightning but you know when kjata makes his appearence he stomps the ground and makes a big wave so..

i like kotr. they are so strong, gives me the shivers.

KOTR pwnz, and not because of 13 x 9999 dmg but because of the simply stylish pummeling just like (a little off-topic now) Animas overdrive in FFX...

KOTR looks kewl, but Hades and Bahamut Zero are useful and great if you can't be stuffed raising chocobos.

Heh, I would have to say Shiva cos she's prettiful and she was my one of my strongest GFs when I played FF8 most of the time. waii~ ^_^

If not Knights of the Round, then it has to be Hades only because of all the cool status effects he can do. He can stop Ruby Weapon cold. I'm not really a big fan of the Bahamut summons in this game. I guess it's just too much animation for me for something that can be done in just a few seconds with my characters' physical attacks.

I really enjoy Nights Of The Round alot. Buhumat is another good one.

Nights Of The Round took too long i liked all the Buhumat

Knights of the rounds is way cool ... but I only really used it on the final bosses. For the majority of fights I'd use bahumut and odin, their not the greatest summons out there but I found they both really had "character" to them. :rolleyes:
