Yea he goes to save Kuja, who is basically his brother for they were both created by Garnet (I think that's his name. The bad ass that is mechanical on the world Terra). I thought that was a kool ending as well, plus it showed Honor in Zidane, which was admirable.

And the class he showed to win Garnets full affection. it was about the Best ff ending.

Why do you think that? I wouldn't jump to conclusions about certain things like that if I were you, it could get you in trouble Roo. By the way the guy's name is Garland, not Garnet, sorry about the misinformation.

Heh-heh, I could go on forever about how much I loved FF9's ending. When I first beat the game, I just kinda sat there, and my feeling was, "Well THAT was worth it!!!" So many other games left me with this, "So that's it?" feeling, but FF9 was no such sentiment.

Anyway, what you said about the class Zidane showed to win Dagger's affection, that's a really interesting point. I never really thought about it as showing class, but when I think of how Ziddy's attitude and the way he started to behave towards her as the game progressed, I think you're right. He did start showing more class.

I mean he goes from "Ooo... soft!" to basically, well, being more respectful towards her as his love for her deepened. The same for Dagger when her feelings started to reciprocate. Zidane was such a cheeky little flirt at the beginning, it was almost irritating. Funny, but annoying. Zidane always reminded me of the guy who was everyone's friend, but was really hard to take seriously in a relationship. Hehehe, I'd hate to be him. ;)

As far as him showing honor and virtue, yep, I think he did. "I can't just walk away." Zidane lives true to something he said to Dagger early on in the game, which is, "You can't just think things through, sometimes you have to follow your heart." Zid does just that.

Eh, anyway, those are some of my thoughts on the ending. Magnificent ending. :) Probably the reason why I fell in love with FF9 as much as I have.

...and they lived happily ever after.

i liked the ending. it was really nicely done. when zidane went back for kuja, well that just shows good guys usually are the nice ones.

Yep, great ending. Showed how much he really cared. I didn't think he was gonna die, the leader never dies.

Yup, FF IX's ending was pretty cool. It's always hard to compare the FFs against each other, but IX is definitely one of the series's highlights. Great story, game was fun, ending was beautiful!

a great ending to a great final game, on the psone of course. it wasnt as twisty and rather confusing as some of the other endings, thats good for me.

Yea good for you woo! I liked the ending and the overall story too regardless of the fact that I totally disliked the setting, the way it ended wasnt overly sappy and you can kinda feel a genuine love between Garnet and Zidane.

I totally Agree. When i Beat Legend of Legaia and Legend of Dragoon, There was barely an ending. It left me not knowing what was going to happen to the characters. But in FF9 the story came to a really great ending. Definitely my favorite FF Ending. Even though FF6 is my favorite game.
