So I was just wondering becouse I think Yojimbo get's bashed alot. Everybody keeps saying that Yojimbo sucks, but IMO it's the best Aeon in the game. But it requires a little patience.

Go train in the calm lands with Yojimbo, everytime pay him 1200 Gil he will do Wakizashi. If you do this everytime you will boost his compatability (Yojimbo has a hidden compatability meter). If your compatability is high enough he will use Wakizashi on all opponenst and eventually he will do Zanmato for only 1200 gil!!!!!. Also when summond or when it is his turn he may attack for free (let's say that is compatability is maxed out there is a chance of 1/4 he will do Zanmato for free which has happened several times with me so far) other wise he will do Wakizashi on all opponents.

I like him,but in general, just like every other aeon,he's only good for so long, and becomes worthless once your characters are more powerful,he's good early on,and one of my favorites, but like I said, early on,they are usefull, later on they are a hindrence, and their only upside is that they are immune to everything but curse, armor break, mental break, power break and magic break, and sometimes death.....but I think he's good, when used strategically,he's unbeatable, you just have to know your enemies and their moves,it isn't hard to understand, but I think that most people don't know that even though it may look like a physical attack,it may be magic,or vice versa in a few cases,or if the enemy is very accurate (i.e. cheap super boses that have maxed accuracy) or use nothing but magic, then it will be somewhat tough for him, obviously =\ .....

Name one character or attack that can dish out more damage then the Delta Attack from the Magus Sisters ^_^.

Quick Hit... Does 99999 and has way faster recovery time than the Magnus Sisters. But that's with 255 Strenght. W/o 255 Strenght, Wakka's Attack Reels and Mindy's Passodo do more damage...

Also a question (GASP!!!). What do you mean by "using it free"? Does it give you the option to do any attack or you pay him 0 gil and he'll do something instead of Dismissing himself...

Nope he just attacks out of his own, you never get the chance to pay him money, ex you summon him and when he arives you dont get the pay/dismiss screen but he just attacks. As I mentioned before he has a hidden compatability meter and when high enough he will attack without paying.

Anima is a she... And in the US version, her OD doesn't attack w/every hit she does... That way, those w/the US version can't do more than 99999 w/her...

So, Neo, about how long did it take you before you were able to get him to do Zanmato for 1200 gil? I've been training for a little while now. I'm starting to get a few free attacks, usually Daigoro, one time I got Kozuka for free, but I haven't seen Zanmato yet. BTW, is there any reason in particular why it's the Calm Lands where you have to train him? Why not somewhere else?

Edit: Never mind. Not long after I posted this, he finally did Zanmato for me. And for free, to boot.

To anwser some of your questions Agent.

There are five groups of Zanmato levels. The higher the level, the higher the resistance. The creatures from calm lands are all level1 but the arent very strong. I choose to start training here to avoid the risk of getting Yojimbo killed, becouse if he dies in battle his compatability drops. When you frequently get Zanmato, move on to the Omega Dungeon. You will find creatures who are level 2 or some even level 3. Keep doing the same thing over and over again till he almost every times uses Zanmato. That worked for me very well.

Does anyone have an idea about exactly how much it (Gil) it takes to get him high enough to do attacks for free? I've paid him massive heaps of money (I paid him 500,000 gil on one attack, mainly because there is nothing I need to buy anymore) many times, and yet he still does the little knife attack... anyone know why?

It's like Neo Xzhan said. It's not about dumping huge amounts of gil on him, it's about training him to raise his compatibility level. Go back and read Neo's first post in this thread. Follow his instructions and you'll be able to raise his compatibility level. Note though, that for most fiends he won't do Zanmato for free. But if you want to see Zanmato for free, I think Neo's way is the best way to do it. It worked for me.

I only like Yojimbo cuz he evades a lot, but other then that I cant get him to work right. I cant afford 1200 gil to pay him =\

This is a bit off topic, but Nanaki if you cant afford it go sell some useless equipment and you can easily make money in Omega Ruins. If you walk around a bit you will battle a (dunna whats his name) and a treasure chest. Steal from the chest, it often wont have anthing thing steal and it will transform in a Mimic. You dont get expierience for killing the Mimic but you do get 50.000gil.

Or, get Rikku's ultimate weapon to get the "Gillionaire" ability. That way, you double the gil you get to 100,000 and make it even more worth your time.
