I rented it just to see what it was like. It seems ok so far; I doubt I'll ever buy it but I don't regret renting it. I've tried the quest and the mini-game where you fight other characters one-on-one. Any advice for either of those two parts of the game? The rental copy didn't come with the instruction booklet, if there was one.

It seems like my weapons keep breaking really fast. Anything I can do to stop that? I don't understand how combining weapons works. Also, running back and forth from the dungeon to the inn is driving me nuts. Should I just use one character to explore the dungeon?

I don't know too much about the RPG mode, but I played it a bit...o.O;;

But if you need help with the Mini-Quests or Fighting, feel free to ask..

Koenma, ok, any advice for fighting would be appreciated. :)

Vivi, we're talking about a squaresoft game called Erghiz (or something like that). It's this old PS1 game. It's a fighting game but there is a small RPG game in it. (which even has voice acting in it, although only the subtitles are in English). In the fighting part of the game, you can play as FFVII characters. :) I honestly can't tell you whether the fighting aspect of the game is good because I never play fighting games, so I can't compare it to anything. The RPG seems like it would be fun if you're willing to really take the time to learn the whole system.

It's correctly spelled Ehrgiez. Annndd...yeah, the RPG is good. Challenging and good, but a bit short. Anndd...even though it's a 3D fighter, I still think it's good. But normally I don't find 3D fighters all that great.

Also, each character has their own ending in the fighting mode, after you beat it. ('Cept the FF7 characters...they just have the same ending...scenes from FF7...I wish they made some new CG's, but, mreh)

Anyway, that covers up a bit..

Oh yeah...that game was sweet.

I can swoon you with Tifa =P. Sephy and Cloud kicked ass too.

The RPG mode is crazy...i tried it out but made it nowhere; I was confronted by a big octopus thingy and i was owned....

Ah well, it was a cool game and now that you mention it, i'm gonna rent it.

Nah, that Lee guy owned them all (the kung fu guy with a spear). I could take anyone down in that game with that guy, endless combo.

its a unique game from squaresoft, i acutually have it. its a rather rare game to find. the quest mode is really hard to get through, the mini games are pretty fun with other people. the fighting game is decent for a rpg manufacturer. if you can find it for under 30 bucks its a good deal because it is rare and if you collect square games.

Ehrgeiz is german for I think metal hand, or fighting fist, something like that. Anyway I've heard of this game too. I am most curious about it, but too preoccupied with other games.

Are you serious? I thought it was a beat-em-up :confused: I have reviews and previews of it, and from what I can tell of the screen shots, I assumed it was a fighting game.
