Dunno. They sound good. But, they are as heard on tv. For instance, Superfriends contains the voice over. I would LOVE to have the opening without the voice over, and some of the incidental music too...So, I have most of these from other sources, if not all, but usually sounding much crappier. The two or three I listened too sound good (Shazam, Superfriends, Smallville)

I said it sounds good. I would have told you otherwise. I am picky about the tv tunes, as much as I can be anyway. I mean these sound good. But, I still wish we could get instrumentals for some of these..one day, sigh.

They can be played on winamp, but if you even want them to play on wmp, you need to download the K lite pack codec, to enable the ogg files on media player.

They sound like fan-made DVD rips to me. Certainly not "digitally remastered". And this was posted days before the official release. Not that things don't get leaked but I'd be surprised if this was one of them. I was hoping for the actual Batman 1966 theme heard in the opening credits and not this Neal Hefti single that was released back then (and been available as a share for ages). To me that's the biggest tip off this is fan-made. The '66 Batman has never been released on DVD so the only copies of the theme song from the show would have to come from inferior VHS or DVR sources.

I'm back on the fence and leaning toward 'fan-made' again. My media player shouldn't be having this much trouble figuring out what this is. The fact that my media player can't identify these tracks at all points to DVD rips as far as I'm concerned. And I can't even trust the Amazon mp3 page since three tracks there aren't even on this album!! Track 20 is "DC Comics And Chocolate Milkshake" - Art Brut, Art Brut Vs. Satan, 28 is "Dc Comic" - Silk & Olive, Trouble in the Tea Leaves and track 23 is "Dc Comics" Carty-Yeah, Smokin On My Black [Explicit]!

Thanks babydoll but I downloaded your converted files and not the ogg files. My media player just can't identify them. Yeah, yeah, I'm lazy and just wanted a copy that wouldn't be so much work. I hate transcribing or converting titles. All part of the game of collecting, I guess. I'll quit griping now!

s ok, my converted files refuse to show up in my mediaplayer library, just can't even rename them. It is odd. But, winamp plays it, and what i listened to sounds like high quality. Perhaps when it is released, I will find another link somewhere.

Yeah, it's an official release and not fan-made. I ordered it from my Friendly Local Comics Shop (http://www.levelupentertainment.com/) a couple of months ago through previews. It hasn't shown up yet, but after hearing this, I'm not going to complain if it doesn't. Really disappointing that they had to keep all the yapping of the intro monologues over the music, but then I suspect this was made for the nostalgics who consider the Star Trek theme incomplete if they don't hear Bill Shatner giving his Final Frontier speech. Still, it's nice to have non-scratchy versions of the old 1966 Filmation shorts themes, even with Ted Knight's opening narration, and I hope Marvel releases something similar.

I've been working on my own fan-made 3-CD complilation, and the 60's DC and Marvel animated short themes would be perfect for a proposed 4th disc to be titled "The Silver Age Back-Issue Longbox"
