----------------------

What is this?
Last year we were able to name and tag all 286 songs found in Pokmon HeartGold & SoulSilver Versions in less than a day after release by combining our efforts. It was a little bit more difficult this time around, since we were all unfamiliar with this new music, but the purpose of this thread was to collaborate to fully tag this rip.

----------------------

Why not wait for the OST?
Are you kidding? That's not for another month! Besides, completionists will want to make sure they get every track in the game, including the hidden ones, which the Music Super Completes don't always provide.

----------------------

What can I do to help?
Download the MP3s above, and start listening. If there is an error in our tracklist, or if you can elaborate on a song title, please give us the correct information.

someone already did a 2sf-rip with tags in them (http://hcs64.com/mboard/forum.php?showthread=14125&showpage=15), they say it's from inside the sdat.

you might want to take a look, it will save some time. and it looks like they have made a mp3 conversion too (http://forum.rockmanpm.com/index.php?topic=172.0).

Thanks, Cocorin! For anyone who plans on spending some time this weekend listening to the new music (like me), this is a great place to start looking for track names.

Tags seem like they'd take a bit of time. I wish I had access to the game to help out.
Good songs though, not as lacking as I thought it'd be.

Thanks a bunch for this! I can't help with naming the unknown tracks at the moment, but I do have a small suggestion-- if the song that plays when you use Dive is called "Diving," shouldn't Surf's song be called "Surfing" instead of "Surf"? Also, maybe "Bicycle" should be "Cycling". Just a few suggestions :P

That's a good point. I was going off previous Music Super Complete titles, but forgot that "Dive" had appeared once before, in the Ruby & Sapphire MSC. I've updated it for consistency.

Be sure you're copying the .bin file into the components folder as well, otherwise it won't work.

Oh wow... it took me forever to find this thread! Good luck to all who are tagging! I think I'll hold off on downloading until you're done.

EDIT : Were you going to keep this soundtrack arranged in a similar way to HeartGold/SoulSilver, where the tracks were grouped by their use? (eg. all town themes were together, followed by route themes, then battle themes...) Or will this one be arranged so the tracks appear in game order?

EDIT : Were you going to keep this soundtrack arranged in a similar way to HeartGold/SoulSilver, where the tracks were grouped by their use? Songs will be kept in the order they appear in the game's data; in these early stages, that makes it easiest to identify songs. Later, if someone happens to know the in-game order in which these appear, or when the MSC tracklist is announced, an alternate upload may be provided, should someone decide to make one.

Sorry, I should have specified, that's what I meant. And I'm sure that someone who's playing the game will be able to organize it.

B/W MP3 Part 1 (http://www.mediafire.com/?xso9oqs2solakri) (Mediafire)
B/W MP3 Part 2 (http://www.mediafire.com/?5hgvylt4d64w581) (Mediafire)

Files renamed using current information.
Notes - Track numbers not applied/got lazy/'missing' files from the complete collection will be added, so they don't seem to matter anyway.

Update : I seemed to have mixed some red and black names up, but to that, I say, whatever, the current names by the OP's findings seem good enough until something official pops up.

Missing files from the above are in a separate zip that contains missing/partial labels, such as routes. Someone else can finish off naming/renaming those files and upload the missing files in another zip, or if anyone's lazy, a little wait until then.

Note - Routes, there seems to be a lot of shared route bgm, so the routes are far from done until someone can confirm those.

It seems like everything's nearly done with. Loving the music. It's a nice change of pace, DPPt felt a little dated, and HGSS built itself on DPPt, so...dot dot dot.

Track 124 is wild pokemon battle 2, not for pokemon at night. (it's the theme used when battling a rare wild pokemon, or wild double battle, etc.)

Great, Plankton, that's very useful. However, are you certain about the Routes? I've seen many rips on YouTube which simply call them Route 1-6, instead of Routes A-F; they're not using the actual Route number, they're just saying that it's Route music #1, music #2, etc. If you can confirm that those are absolutely the Route numbers, not just song numbers, I'll update the Route tracks. (Thanks in advance!)

So once all 203 are identified somehow, will the complete rip be uploaded like with HG/SS?

You betcha. That's what we're working towards, and heavyknight just took us another leap forward. Thanks!

Not sure about Routes 5-6, but I have seen videos with 2/4 that utilize the same music. Everything else should be good, though. :D

You guys might wanne check out this YouTube playlist (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exUMJjiAP74&p=12B063A097DF8C76&index=1) by TimmyTurnersDad. He uploaded every single song in the game (except for the sound effects). He has tagged a lot of the tracks already.
Sweet. Nice find.

I only have 1 to contribute:
Track 124 is wild pokemon battle 2, not for pokemon at night. (it's the theme used when battling a rare wild pokemon, or wild double battle, etc.)
Huh, that makes sense. Guess there's still a lot of renaming to do.

Old Renames
123 (0468) Battle! Wild Pokmon (Day) -> 123 (0468) Battle! Wild Pokmon 1
124 (0469) Battle! Wild Pokmon (Night) -> 124 (0469) Battle! Wild Pokmon 2

New Names
041 (0416) BGM_R_D -> Route 7, I have to facepalm myself there since 1-6 was there, and it was following the route's lettering. At least, stuck in between. As well as the 4 seasons.
BGM_EYE_04 -> Jr. Trainer
06 -> Female Worker
08 -> Psychic
10 -> Clown
135 (0474) Battle! Reshiram
136 (0475) Battle! Zekrom
Needs Comfirmation -
137 (0476) Battle! Kyurem
In Between
058 (0427) Gym 2 has some sounds, either attractions or marching, or so...any town or city with anything like that? If so, Gym 2 will be Gym (C/T-Name)
060 (0429) Gate
Needs a name -
Spotted! 5, 7, 9, and 13 still need something.
053 (0422) BGM_H_04
054 (0423) BGM_H_05
077 (043a) BGM_D_06 -> Some forest... according to a YT comment, it's near Raimon City.
Seems like everything's nearly done with. Almost there.

137 (0476) Battle! (unknown) is probably Kyurem, but I have no idea.

N's Room. It was also listed as N's Toy Room, so I'm unsure where to go with that. The same applies to Backpacker, which was listed as Hiker. Which sounds better, of the two, for the two songs?

I might've missed something/a number of things. -takes a break-

Well, the video that I saw had a Backpacker (Female), but Hiker is probably more recognizable, so I would say Hiker, if that's the case.

The music in the Tower of Heaven and Dragon Spiral Tower is the same. "Dragon Spiral Tower Summit" only plays at the highest floor.

The Spotted! <name> tracks are used by multiple trainer classes. From what I remember:
"Spotted! Youngster" is used for young boys. Youngsters, kindergartners, Jr. Trainers
"Spotted! Twins" is used for young girls. Twins, kindergartners
"Spotted! Lass" = Beauty, Lass, school girl
"Spotted! Waiter" covers working class trainers. Waiters, construction workers, office workers
"Spotted! Psychic" is used for Psychics and Taekwon girls
"Spotted! Clown" = Clown, Pokfan, Sr. & Jr.
"Spotted! Hiker" = every backpacker class

Thanks for the clarification, and the link. Routes seem like they'd take some time.
Guess it's safe to say 077 (043a) BGM_D_06 -> Forest of Illusion, at least for now, as a name.
Currently browsing through and naming stuff wherever applicable.

Update : being lazy and leaving some things as is, Dragon Spiral Tower/Summit are now what they are, 137 has become Kyuren, current spotteds are being left as is, 077 is now Forest of Illusion. Gate became Guard Station, etc, etc.

With the minor file ignoring, all we have left to name :
All the routes, from 31 to 49
BGM_H_04, BGM_H_05
BGM_EYE_05, BGM_EYE_07, BGM_EYE_13
After that, someone could go over minor files/etc and completionist it, otherwise, we're practically done.
A total of 23 files remain. 11 if you don't count the seasonal routes.

New 7z files :
Pokemon Black & White Soundtrack.7z.001 (http://www.mediafire.com/?v9iidwlr5dj3fbb)
Pokemon Black & White Soundtrack.7z.002 (http://www.mediafire.com/?jbc1ih7br1gffd4)
Pokemon Black & White Soundtrack.7z.003 (http://www.mediafire.com/?gtm0bx5s93xwm16)

Unlabeled & Incomplete.7z (http://www.mediafire.com/?lpz65cn0qgelyq2)
Seems like there won't be any need to update the main 7z, the Incomplete one will eventually become Labeled & Complete, I guess. Convenient. Very.

.7z is a Winrar format. The .001, .002, and .003 mean the file was split into pieces, which have to be joined together by a program that does that kind of thing. I recommend hjsplit.

At 1:17-1:23, Zekrom has some eletric sounds, Reshiram has fire, and Kyurem has 'nothing'. Roaming and Legendary however, appear to be the same. Seems tricky to spot the differences.

Alternatively to Seary, get 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/), aside from it being free, it also works on .rar files.

For the time being, the Unlabeled & Incomplete is...well, incomplete. You can go ahead and snag the 3 parts, and wait until the incomplete becomes complete. Either way, enjoy the great music~

Also, it appears the two youtube playlists were hit.
TimmyTurnersDad - "NOOOOOO! Mister Go Ichinose (GameFreak) just removed a lot of the Pokemon Black White music I uploaded :( I now have 2 strikes of copyright and I'm forced to remove every Pokemon Black White song. So much for all my hard work... "

GAppears - "I was forced to delete the Pokmon B&W playlist after receiving a strike from Go Ichinose. My apologies. :( "

I kind of need help for the files, how do I extract them? I already got 7-Zip and hjsplit. How do I get the music now?

First, you start hjsplit. Click the option to 'join' files together. You need to select the .001 file, then click OK. If all the pieces are in the same folder, then it will piece them together into one big .7z file. I don't use 7-Zip, so I'm not sure how it works from there, but I assume it works just like any file extractor. So, just open it with 7-Zip and make it extract them (or whatever it does). And that's it! All the files will be extracted.

No, I haven't heard of those. They're probably just sound effects layered on top of the songs, and thus don't appear in the rip as their own songs.

And hence will probably, for the completionists, appear in the official OST. :P
edit: Actually, these tracks seem to have the complete version with all the instruments in them. I suspect that the game turns off these instruments until they're needed, such as when you approach the people playing the instruments. (For example, you'll notice that Sky Arrow Bridge has all its instruments on. It usually isn't so noisy.)

004 - Tutorial => Character Mode Select (there isn't a tutorial - the music is used to ask the player whether to use Kanji or Kana mode)
045 - Route 8 (Spring) = Route 11 (Spring) (and all other seasons)
056 - Friendly Shop => Shopping Mall All Nine
058 - Gym 2 => Hotomoe Gym Underground (or something. The added background noise is for the generator in the gym room players challenge the leader Yaakon at.)
063 - Pal Park => Shift Factory (whoever called this Pal Park isn't playing the game!)
066 - High Link 2 => High Link Mission
082 - Enter the Rival! => Cheren (if 83 is Belle's, this has pretty much been used in-game exclusively for Cheren)
085 - Makomo => Araragi's Father
105 - Musical 1 => Musical - Stardom!
117 - Spotted! 9 => Spotted! Scientist
115 - Spotted! 7 => Spotted! Swimmer (male only)

154 - World Champion Station => Battle Tournament (I dunno about its current name, but this track is used for the official tournament gameplay mode) (edit: it applies to the Wi-Fi feature "Random Match" too.)
164 - Victory! 6 and 146 - Victory Against Elite Four! => Victory against Team Plasma! (They sound the same, actually. And no, the Gym Leaders' theme is played for the Elite Four victories)

There was a similar mechanic in Zelda: Spirit Tracks. There were two areas that layered new parts of a song on top of each other as you progressed through them. However, on the music rip, both tracks had all of the parts on all the time. I don't think there's any way to rip those alternate versions unless someone recorded them from the game instead of rip the actual soundfile for it.

Actually the layers for the instruments are just muted in-game and will be unmuted once you talk to the specific musician. The ripped music are the full songs themselves. The rip for Karakusa town for example already has the piano and drums while in-game you still need to talk to the musicians if you want to hear them.

33. Route 2 (Spring)
34. Route 2 (Summer)
35. Route 2 (Autumn)
36. Route 2 (Winter)
37. Route 4 (Spring)
38. Route 4 (Summer)
39. Route 4 (Autumn)
40. Route 4 (Winter)
41. Route 6 (Spring)
42. Route 6 (Summer)
43. Route 6 (Autumn)
44. Route 6 (Winter)
45. Route 8/11 (Spring)
46. Route 8/11 (Summer)
47. Route 8/11 (Autumn)
48. Route 8/11 (Winter)
49. Route 10

EDIT : Now that everything is tagged, will the tracks be put in order of appearance, then reuploaded (with the final tracklist posted so we don't have to download it again)? I'm sure a lot of people will want this. I personally think it makes listening to the soundtrack more enjoyable.

Should the tools we have be able to selectively remove instrument layers from the tracks, then there would be a way. I'm guessing the tools we have just haven't advanced that far. The Pokmon Black and White game engine seems to be capable of dynamically disabling, turning the volume down on, slowing the tempo of, and muting any or all instrument layers as it sees fit. A really cool example of this would be Victory Road's theme: as you get closer to the area, an instrument layer is turned on, with only the drums playing first.

056 - Friendly Shop => Shopping Mall All Nine...
063 - Pal Park => Shift Factory (whoever called this Pal Park isn't playing the game!)

I left Friendly Shop named as it is, since that's the long-running official name of the song. It's been named that in every MSC since it first appeared in Ruby & Sapphire. As for Pal Park, thank you very much for your correction (and all the rest, which are now reflected in the rip). You're right, I'm not playing the game, and in the ROM's sdat, the track is named Pal Park.

Fair enough. It's just that there aren't any more Friendly Shops in their own buildings and so the track is used specifically for the Shopping Mall. Haha.

I'm guessing Pal Park is a leftover or name used to refer to the Shift Factory because the PokShifter feature does similar functions to Pal Park.

106 - Musical 2 -> Musical - A Walk in the Forest
107 - Musical 3 -> Musical - Evening Party
108 - Musical 4 -> Musical - Passion of Raimon
112 - Spotted! Junior Trainer -> Spotted! Elite Trainer (they're, in the English games, referred to as Ace Trainer, mind you - and this theme is used for both rangers (who you spot using this theme first) and those trainers, as well as Veteran Trainers. I dunno what a Junior Trainer is)
150 - Game Sync is correct.
156 - Friend is the theme used to refer to both of the player's neighbors, Belle and Cheren. They do have their own individual themes, but this is used for both of them at the start.

Oh man, this rip has come so far already! Fantastic job Quagsire!

I have a few questions, though:

018 (03ff) Sazanami Town (Summer) (And the other themes for the town)
050 (041f) Sky Arrow Bridge
079 (043c) Victory Road

all have sfx in them. However, I'm pretty sure that all the tracks have a version without sfx (away from the water, at the bottom of the bridge, and inside the mountain, respectively.) Are there separate tracks on the game without the sfx, or are they included in a certain channel of the audio?

Nozomu Itoshiki

Quoting something I said earlier:

Actually, these tracks seem to have the complete version with all the instruments in them. I suspect that the game turns off these instruments until they're needed, such as when you approach the people playing the instruments. (For example, you'll notice that Sky Arrow Bridge has all its instruments on. It usually isn't so noisy.)

They are not separate tracks, nor do "sfx-less" tracks exist. In layman's terms, it seems that the sound effects are considered instruments within the songs, but are dynamic and can change in volume. This rip, however, plays back every song completely without muting any parts.

I think I might help you on that one, the name/title "Junior Trainers" got changed since Gold/Silver got released, they are now called Camper (male) and Picknicker (female) in the state side. It was changed due to legal reasons, I don't know the full details behind it. But if anyone knows, please, spill the beans.

Colour me surprised, is it just me or does these VS. bgm really gotten composed by someone other than Junichi Masuda? Usually he strictly composes the VS. bgm and they are bloody good. Now it doesn't seem like he doing them for these games if I read the info correctly, but they still blow me away!

Well, according to the sheet music book, Jun'ichi Masuda is still the composer for all of the battle themes. I agree that B/W takes a few new approaches in terms of style and instrumentation, but it still maintains that Masuda-infused catchiness that makes the tunes so fabulous. :D

You know, it never occurred to me that Zyuniti was actually Jun'ichi until now. I wasn't thinking outside the box, thanks mate!
Speaking about the themes themselves, the ones in Black/White actually pays a homage to it's predecessors, like Isshu's Elite 4 VS. theme is clearly nodding to the VS. theme of the 3 lake Pokemon in Sinnoh...

In that case, can't the song be ripped with the sfx channels muted to create the sfx-less version? I'm not certain what the process is, but if the native ds file can be converted to a module file, the sfx "instruments" can be muted/deleted.

Yes, and I learned from another ripper that this can be done by first ripping all songs with sfx. Then delete the sfx files from the game and rip the songs again.

Doesn't change the fact I don't like it. And I meant they're dead as a franchise based on poor Pokmon designs and the worst enemy team (Plasma? Really?) since Aqua and Magma, not sales. But I digress, since you don't care. But please respect my opinion, as I respect yours.

Well you not liking it is legit and I can respect that, but to say that the franchise is dead because you don't like it anymore is another thing. I've seen a lot of people say that and it's clearly not the case (for some people I know Gold and Silver killed the franchise!). 90% of the time the person's just grown out of it, and there's nothing wrong with that, but one thing I really don't like seeing is getting opinion mixed up with fact. I'm kind of anal about that sometimes. :P

But I'm glad to see that, unlike most, you're not just dismissing it.

I know what you mean. But I am a huge fan of Pokmon- ever since Blue. Obviously the franchise is alive and selling. What I meant to say by dead is that, to me, it's become more of a cash cow, what with highly deficient Pokmon designs (though I am fast to admit I am a Zekrom fan <3), Team Fail (err, Plasma) and how behind B&W are in terms of graphics. What it's doing right now is something that could have been done with Diamond and Pearl. It's not that all of the music is bad- it's very good. I simply don't think it's suited for a franchise like Pokmon. For other RPG's maybe, but not Pokmon. I'll probably buy White or Black when they come out- Hell, I might even like this whole soundtrack. But it's just not the same.

I have to say, the bgm for this game gives out a kind of 60's/techno vibe, to me atleast. Anybody else feeling the same way?

And about the music not suited for the franchise, it is very different than the previous outings, but to me it still matches the poke-theme. I mean it's understandable considering that Isshu is very far (almost to the point of remotely) from the other regions and it's based on a non-asian island/continent.

Well here's my two cents... :P

Yours is a case of "They Changed it Now It Sucks", "It's Popular Now it Sucks" and "RuinedFOREVER" (Tvtropes ftw). I'm quite sure, if everything stayed the same, people would be complaining how it's exactly the same instead. Even then there are still people complaining how B&W is completely the same from the old games. :/

You're quite wrong about Team Plasma. They're actually the most competent group in the entire series. They're also the most fleshed out villains in the entire series. N alone is not just some "Take over the world" guy. His backstory is actually quite sad and disturbing.

Heck, B&W is the first game in the series that has an actual competent storyline and not just "Become Pokemon Champion while sidetracked by some random villain group". The game even ends w/o you ever defeating the Champion.

On the graphics being behind. Well, this is a DS game. Or is this like a 3d models > 2D sprite thing? I'm sure that if they made the game entirely 3D, people will hate how awful it will look bec. of the DS's awful 3d graphics engine. It's engine is only as powerful as a PSX, maybe even less so. In general though, compared to DPPt and HGSS, B&W's graphics are a huge improvement. There are more animation (animated Pokemon obviously one of them), more detail (the first thing you see when you get of of your house are a bunch of Pokemon flying around and the detailed grass) and even the camera is more dynamic (it actually changes angles while you move to different places).

The Pokemon design argument is endless and mostly based on nostalgia. Not to mention that each gen actually has a different design team every time. B&W had an American do designs for some Pokemon (like the ice cream and vulture Pokemon). That's why each gen looks different. There's really no hope on this argument ever ending. Best not to talk about it.

Lastly, I don't get how the music is supposed to be different. Yes, it sounds different from the other games but it's still Matsuda's style. It's actually quite close to the music style Matsuda used in RSE. Many people think so too.

Well, there you go. I've actually haven't types a post this long in ages. Wow...

Okay, time to end this argument so it's not off-topic.

I won't comment on the plot of the games until I play them, so I reserve judgment on N and such.

As for Team Plasma, good sir, I beg your pardon but I still think they suck. They have the most horrendous design I've ever seen for a team in Pokmon, but please understand it's mostly opinion for me.

As for graphics, of course it's a DS. Of course the graphics are a huge improvement. You guys simply misunderstood me. I just said it could have been done in Diamond and Pearl for example. But I digress.

The Pokmon design: yes, it's nostalgia. But I won't talk about it either.

As for music, I'd rather not talk about it further. No comment.

Please don't make me the bad guy for stating my opinion.

Just download the official soundtrack a few posts back. That's more or less final.

Just out of curiosity, Is this rip final? I know it's been a while since any updates, but the only reason I'm asking is because I was planning on burning this beautiful rip to a disc but once I do, I cannot change the files.

There is one more foreseen update coming in the next month or two: filenames and track titles will be updated with English names. Some names for characters and locations are already known, but I'll hold off on a new upload until every name is in. If you're fine with the Japanese names, burn, baby, burn!

In celebration of the English launch of this game today, the downloads have been updated to include 100% English terminology! The tracklist in the top post calls out in green the titles of tracks that have changed, so you can make the changes to your own files if you don't want to redownload.

On the Bianca song, if you open it on Itunes it doesn't have an album art. Think it's the only one that doesn't. Fantastic album though, cheers for this.

Quick question- is the, "Danger, your Pokemon's HP is low!" sound on here? What's it named? Thanks!

Is there any chance the dynamic songs can be separated? Like, Shippou / Nacrene City adds the accordion when you approach the guy, Souryuu / Opelicid (White) has a violin when you approach the woman, Route 1 adds bells, etc. Is there any way to separate them in the rip, so that there's the two versions of the dynamic songs as separate songs (or perhaps loop two fades into the combined form, as is common in other dynamic game rips)? I know the official soundtrack has the combined forms as the songs in the soundtrack, but I was kind of hoping for the other forms as well...

I don't see any way of engineering that other than recording game audio with the different layers. Unless someone can come up with a way to manipulate the tracks, it'll have to remain as is.

Unfortunately, recording is the only way to do so. I could probably record them for people if someone could specify two things:
1. What is the average track volume in this rip (so I could match it by recording at that volume)
2. Which tracks have different dynamic sections? and How many sections are there in each of those tracks? (I need a full list since I'll probably never play through the whole game)

Don't know how to help you for the first question, but I can for the second one. Note that for almost all the Route themes (except for 1 and 10) there are four more layers, which are the season differences.

- Route 1 (two layers, main melody + bells when you walk)
- Accumula Town (three layers, main melody + drums + piano when you talk to the playing people)
- Route 2 (two layers, main melody + drum when you walk)
- Nacrene City (two layers, main melody + accordion when you talk to the playing guy)
- Opelucid City (Black) (two layers, main melody + synth when you talk to the playing guy)
- Opelucid City (White) (two layers, main melody + violin when you talk to the playing guy/girl, don't remember)
Route 12 (two layers, main melody + sort of drum when you walk)
- Village Bridge (four layers, main melody + guitar + voice + sort of percussions when you talk to some people) (not so sure on this, may be skipping a layer)

Sorry if I'm forgetting something.

-The path before Victory Road, when you're going through the different Badge Check gates (I don't remember how many different versions are there, if it builds up as you get closer or not, will check later)
-When you go to lower floors in Chargestone Cave (and other caves that use the same theme), the music goes to a key lower... (I think there's three other versions, will check later)

And them something missing, thinking about it...
-N's Room in his Castle, with the trainset and basketball hoop and whatever, plays a minor key version (I think..?) of N's Encounter theme.

I'll think if there's anything else with multi-layered tracks, or missing things...

Well, if someone wants to take the initiative to record alternate versions of tracks, I'll happily host them here as a "recordings add-on!" The recordings should follow the same format as the rip (two loops, fadeout), and present every possible variation of the themes in question. It should also be a complete set of all dynamic songs in the game.

Erm.. Perhaps I'm wrong, but if that's the case, I can't find N's normal encounter theme, and I'm pretty sure his room theme is slightly different, anyway.... Could be wrong, though...

Also, starting going through caves. There's two lower versions, but there may be more.... still exploring...

The encounter theme is called "The Equated Captives" (though a better translation would be "One Captivated by Formulae", being N one person). Track 87 of the rip, track 58 disc 2 of the SMC.

Thank you. Next time you could just edit it in your post. I try to check important threads on a regular basis whether or not there's a new post. I've triple-posted before (and I felt pretty stupid about it), so if it's really important, double-posting isn't harmful.

I'm using cheats on a rom to get some of these because I'm not far enough and I don't want to use any cheats on my actual copy. Yes, the rom is lag-free on my acekard. I still have a ways to go, since the recording is in real-time and there is a lot of trimming involved.

I haven't cut the ends yet. Do you guys want two loops followed by a 5-second fade, or something else?

Being the loop system in this rip, I guess two loops + 5/6 sec fadeout will do.

See, I wasn't sure if the edit would have been noticed or not, so... but now I know..!

As for the looping, yeah- I'd say two loops with a 5 second or so fade-out would work. Though... quickly looking at the current songs in the rip, it seems to me that most songs are between 8-10 seconds for their loops... United Nations, for example, seems to start looping about 10 / 11 seconds left.

I've just noticed, listening very carefully, that Route 6 also has drums when walking.

EDIT: since today I had nothing to do at school, I took some time to check out how many combinations of layers would come out with the Village Bridge. The result was 15, and I think it would be wonderful if you could record them all. Naming "main" the main one, "beatbox" the bridge guy, "flute" the northeastern guy, "voice" the southern guy (don't remember if on the eastern or western coast) and "guitar" the northwestern guy, this is the list.

1. Main
2. Main + Beatbox
3. Main + Beatbox + Flute
4. Main + Beatbox + Guitar
5. Main + Beatbox + Voice
6. Main + Beatbox + Flute + Guitar
7. Main + Beatbox + Flute + Voice
8. Main + Beatbox + Guitar + Voice
9. Main + Voice
10. Main + Voice + Guitar
11. Main + Voice + Flute
12. Main + Voice + Flute + Guitar
13. Main + Flute
14. Main + Flute + Guitar
15. Main + Guitar

Obviously it's a lot of work, so no problem if you don't want.

If someone's going to take this yoke upon their shoulders, the variations should be limited to those that are feasible within the game. I haven't reached that part of the game (and it'll surely be a long time before I do), but is it possible to hear each of those variations, or are there some that are never actually played?

And fadeout should be ten seconds.

They are all available, since you can choose, by talking to the people, which layers will be heard. The only one that can't be muted is the Main one.

Two questions. 1.) Another site did a similar thing to you. OSTproject did a few extra tracks and one of them is'nt on your collection, so I was wondering where that came in the game. Also, On the Japanese game , one of the towns has a person singing (I believe it is after you beat the League the first time), so is this place known as Village Bridge that is refered to above this post? Thanks

Village Bridge does have singing (it's eerie and neat at the same time). But without seeing this other rip, I couldn't answer your first question. If the song IS in the game, it's in this rip, maybe under a different name.

If anyone may be able to kindly update this link: Pokmon Black & White Supplemental Tracks (English).rar (http://www.mediafire.com/?k4e12yec12ah959) with the new tag for the WC theme that might complete this rip 100% (although most people thought it already was. xD)

I have no idea if anyone is still on this thread or still cares, but I have been making some tweaks to this album (Some minor volume adjustment, arranging the tracks to a (mostly) in-game order, and making new album art) and wanted to make a request. Does anyone have a cleaner rip of Skyarrow Bridge? The one on here constantly has the car sounds, but the in-game song only has them occasionally. Note that I have no idea how music works in these games, so it may just be the way the song is programmed, but I still wished to request anyways. If nobody has this then my edit of the album is done, and I could put a link here, but if somebody has it I will add it.
