It was soo dremish and strange, i realy liked that, and the fact that they didnt reely tell you too much about what was going on, and let you make your own ideas for what was happining....i dunno maybe its just me but it seemed realy old school to me.

what do you tink?

I read the manga but I haven't seen the movie yet. I hear it's great. I'm gonna get it soon. =)

But why does it say that it's not for sale for people under 18? O_o;. Is it, like, gory and stuff?

Yeah, it's not all that violent. Just a tiny bit of blood here and there, nothing like Ninja Scrolls or Angel Sanctuary.

If anything it should be a great movie. Making people think for themselves reminds me of the thinking i did for ff7. man the ending pissed me right off. So i thought for days what had happened. I got my thoughts straight and that was it.

That's one hell of a necro bump, posting in a thread that's more than 6 years old!!

Anyways, movie was ok, serie was much better in my opinion. Everything got more fleshed out, the characters, the conflicts between each sides and everyone's personal struggle so you get a better feel for why these characters are doing what they are doing.

Yeah, that moron has revived quite a few ancient threads today.

I'll leave this open though, since there isn't anything similar.

The movie was alright but I liked the tv series better. You got to learn more about the characters. I haven't gotten a chance to read the manga.

The movie, while cool to watch, strays too far from the original story. Important scenes have either been altered or removed entirely. Key characters are being killed off left and right for almost no reason, and the exclusive character in the movie hardly gets enough screen time to be remembered. Also, the final moments of the movie feels anti-climatic and bittersweet at best.
Overall, it felt rushed. Too much action, not enough story.
If you know X, you might be a tad pissed with how it's presented in this movie.
At least it got enough attention at the time of its release to be shown in select theaters and snag an "R" rating.

The TV series, released several years after the movie, follows the original story more closely with the exceptions of a few events that were edited or removed, possibly for content. I guess showing the manga version (uncut, seriously) wouldn't have gone well with the censors....then again, I'm sure we've all seen the original Fist of the North Star...

"X-TV" offers an ending opposite to the movie, yet gives more closure to the series.

The manga, sadly, has yet to be completed.

If you're a collector of CLAMP anime or just anime in general, you should get the movie.
If your friend (or yourself) is being introduced to anime, you may want to wait on it.
