INFORMATION
Original Format: AT3 / 5.1 / 48,000htz
Converted: MP3 VBR 320kbps 48,000htz Stereo

The original files were 5.1, & the first two of these channels made up the Stereo track with the other 4 offering various isolation, so have combined the first two tracks & converted to mp3 at highest possible quality. An amazing soundtrack.

I will posting the original 5.1 files as 6ch ogg files shortly too & will add them to this post when they have finished uploading.

Does this really sound better then the cd release? I'm very interested in hearing the 5.1 ogg files though. Thanks for posting these.

there's 26 tracks on the cd, & 43 in the game so quality wise in terms of quantity, it beats the cd hands-down, on the Actual quality though, i have no idea as i've not listened to the cd, my guess would be Better as the cd would have to be 44,100htz, whereas the file's contained in the actual game are 48,000htz

But do you know how to convert AT3s into something than can be played? i got the BGM.nub from my copy of RR7 and split the file with NUBExt but i have no idea how to convert them :-( I tried AT3Converter on my psp but it didn't work!!! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP.

Thanks. I've managed to convert all 43 AT3 files into uncompressed 6 channel 16bit WAV files with looping data (looping data might be incorrect on some songs, I'm not 100% sure) with a total size of 6.87GB.

I'll probably post a transcoded lossless rip in the legacy thread sometime in the future.

The main menu music is actually inside the RR7.dat. I've gotten them thanks to bxaimc. But the track is heavily layered and I'm not that much of a fan of the series to sit there and re-layer it like it is on the OST.

I'll upload all of the converted files in FLAC for you, but I don't think I'll post a game rip because of that track.

These files are just converted straight from the game's files. No looping, no editing, nothing. If I have the time, I might slowly etch away at that layered track but I can't promise anything.

No looping, no editing, nothing? What does that mean? I tried to convert .at3 files the last days and searched and read many things but I am still a noob. Does this mean i can't listen to the tracks? Can maybe show me some tools or codec's you use for doing all this?

You can listen to them. So don't panic :)

A layered track means that there isn't just one file. There are multiple different sound samples which are played or removed from playback depending on where you are on the menu. It isn't just one music file like the rest of the BGM.
