And not only is it not dead, but it's actually finished now. Gearbox took over production after 3D Realms went under and now it's in the polishing stages. People are playing it now at the Penny Arcade Expo.

This is obviously a sign that the world will end within hours.

Given how much I love Gearbox's games - Borderlands was absolutely fantastic, and Opposing Force was one of the best Half-Life experiences - i have very, very, very high hopes. I had honestly stopped caring about 3D Realm's DNF - but with Gearbox at the reins, it could be something special.

FINALLY!

Just read this article (http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/plugged-in/surprise-duke-nukem-forever-uncanceled-playable-at-pax/1409763). Damn, only way for it to finish was for someone else to take over the project. 3DRealms is no more now? Too bad. I hope it will have the same feel as Duke Nukem 3D. Let's rock!

And it shall be the best, most manliest game ever...Prove me wrong, people - it's freaking DUKE NUKEM!

Gearbox said that 3D Realms had actually made a lot of work before they took over. I want to play it, if only to find out what the hell those people were doing for 12 years.

Yahtzee made a Duke Nukem forever review a long time ago. That game better be everything yahtzee described it would be.

It better not be... Because alternating between L1 and R1 to walk sounds like real fun, huh?

Better play the PC version then.

Alternate between Q and E to walk? XD

I imagine that DNF will cost a bomb. If SCII took 8 years and costs RM250, DNF would most likely cost marginally more. I'm just not willing to part with that much money for just a DVD.

Quick question - is RM Ringgits? Because if so, that's about AU$88 - the same price SC2 retails for in most places over here (I got it for $69, but i'm awesome). I'm not sure what the usual cost of PC games is over there, but in Aus retail is usually up around $100, so SC2 was relatively cheap; development time isn't equal to cost. Otherwise Alan Wake would be the most expensive Xbox 360 game ever.

Are Australian dollars less or more powerful compared to American dollars? Because it seems like games are bit on the TOO FUCKING EXPENSIVE side over there in Australia.

Damn I knew I had heard of that line somewhere! It's Duke Nukem. Ha, Blizzard really has hidden some good stuff in SC2. I'm only just starting to find them. Sorry for going off-topic a bit...

Yeah, RM is Malaysian Ringgits. The usual cost of PC games over here varies madly. Last I checked most seem to average around the RM129-189 range. Boxed releases of recent PopCap games go for half of that, and those ancient and B-Grade ReplayGem titles can go for as low as RM30. But SC2 breaks all pricing logic. Truth be told at the price SCII ships at I'd expect a blu ray with a treasure trove of contents. Not just a DVD with, what I read, is just Part 1 of 3 of the game.

I hope the price of SCII drops soon. I really want the game and am willing to overlook the ActiVision factor, but I'm just not willing to fork out that much money for it given the price-to-content ratio.

I'm not sure about that, but I do hope DNF is priced more reasonably when it comes out. Because if it's priced as I predicted (same price as Rock Band 5 with controller), it better come with a Duke Nukem action figure.

I's supposed to be a bit less than US dollars. But those goddamn importers likes to jack up the price anyway. Australian games are typically based on UK versions of games, the consoles share the same regions as Europe. I reckon they blame localization costs.

Why? So your framerate can plummet when 2+ explosions occur?

Well, this must be a great game, or the fans will go apeshit because of the 10+ years of waiting and hype.

Don't get me wrong, I'd like to play a new Duke Nukem game.

PS: Will this still work? xD
