Oh, I always wanted something like this:

* title - Syphon Filter
* platform - PSX/PS1
* release year - 1999

Should be helpful, since my rip is not the best.

Hey Alpha, nice thread here. Can we have an in depth guide on how to find the interleave for PS2 Adpcm? Thanks in advance mate.

Next post will be the guide post, after that just give me requests.
Since it`s here I hope that you will be able to help me to extract music that`s been packed in one of these horrible formats that EA is notorious for. The game`s Freekstyle (PS2\GC\GBA) (2002).

Already ripped?

I've extracted all 15 of the .mgav files so far.

EDIT: Two of them were the same as other songs so I removed them so in actuality there's only 13 of them.

EDIT 2: Successfully ripped this game. Uploading it now and will credit you respectfully Alpha23.

EDIT 3: Still more work to be done.

Congratulations! =) Glad you made it and yes, two files are duplicates. Can you remember if the pitch (=freq) is correct?
Maybe you shouldn't post your rip yet but wait until I figured out the video format - there's the credit's theme for example! So, don't delete the image or at least save the *.wve videos. I've asked for help on Xentax but so far I didn't get an answer. Not many people around the net are experienced in recognizing headerless audio formats by looking at the stream, you know...

Alright. I'll hold off on the upload. As far as pitch is concerned I think its correct. The only real problem I heard was that near the end of most of the tracks there was a loud click that I had to edit out.

Have you checked if you used the updated script? Take a look at the MGAV files' end - if there's a "LLIF" section, that's your click because it's no audio data. I didn't remove it first and had the same problem but later updated the script with "math SIZE -= 0x64" to skip that filler block.

No, but I'll redo the rip now with this updated script. Thanks.

EDIT: When I convert it, it still retains that glitch and in the Chaos.ss2 the song glitches near the end.

Audio Editor ()

The sharp protrusion at the end of the left channel is the popping sound. And the highlighted part is where the song trips on itself and glitches by jumping back to a part its already played before ending.

EDIT: The glitch actually happens at "1:09.888" according to Audition.

I've been told that both of these games are incredibly complex, because each "track" (I believe) is assembled, 1 track over the other, to form what you hear in game. I think that both are the same structure.

I'm haveing a hard time recognizing sound effects in here. Any guides for those? I'm trying to get them from a soundtrack you've already ripped, Champions: Return To Arms. The sound effects, and the ambient sounds that usually run along with the music. (If you've played the game; ) Weapon, footstep and magic SFX, The bubbling lava in the Plane of Fire, and the screams in the plane of torment in particular. If you happen to have any of those files on hand, I'd appreciate it. :)
