Has anyone besides me got GTA: Vice City yet?

Well if you do, then let's talk about it! How far are you into the game? What's your favorite vehicle? What's your favorite weapon? What's your favorite radio station? etc.

I'm about 10 missions into the game, I think. I'm currently on the "Guardian Angels" mission.

As for my favorite vehicle, I love the Freeway bike. It's nice and fast, but not too fast like that crotch rocket in the game (I forget it's name).

My favorite weapon so far is the knife. It's so fun to use, it makes me feel guilty.

My favorite radio station is Wildside (I think that's it's name). It has some nice old hip hop songs on it that you don't really hear that much anymore on the radio. Vrock would be a close second. They have a surprisingly good assortment of great rock songs by bands like Slayer, Maiden, Anthrax, Megadeth, Ozzy, etc.

Feel free to talk about anything else you want, too.

Not that I'm saying anyone who likes it is a sicko, but I think it is pretty sad that games like this are so massively popular in our culture...

The violence, sex, etc. may be what turns some people on to it, but I think it's the gameplay that keeps most of them. It's just so incredibly fun.

Most people think it's cool because you can kill cops or whatever. Trust me, I've got this from the people who sell the game to customers. It's true, it mostly sells for the crappy stuff in it.

Which is not to say it is a bad game. I'm sure that it really does have good gameplay, and that that keeps a lot of perfectly fine people happy. But, it wouldn't sell nearly as well if not for the fact that it's a violent killing spree simulator.

Eaxactly, all the junk is what catches the casual player,but it's the shear variety and level of quality,uniqueness and detail that makes it fun,the same can't be said for movies of a similar nature,but for the game,it's the sense of freedom of will and the experience of the idea.

Can somebody please tell me what Vice City is? From what I can infer from the thread...you're a criminal...I guess...

I bought GTA 3 about a month and a half ago, and after the initial couple of hours play going around in cars, getting arrested, getting blown up, etc, I got bored of it. I haven't touched it since. It was the same with the first GTA. After you've worn off the initial fun (great, I can go around and shoot people for NO reason) it gets boring.

The shock value wears off pretty quickly, and I probably won't touch the game again. I have heard of Vice City, but I shall give it a miss.

It's basically Grand Theft Auto 4. If you don't know what Grand Theft Auto is, you must have been living under a rock for a while :P

My favorite vehicle is the crotchrocket (jpc 600) or somthing its hella fast and its funest thig to drive
my favorite weapons are the mp5 and the chainsaw the mp5 sounds cool and you can use it in vehicles and the chainsaw is hilarious. im like 30 missions mayby 40 into the game it rules

I preorder Vice City last month, i've been enjoying it since.
I really dig the Colt Python and the Samurai Sword. Fave vehicle is the Dirt bike or the Voodoo. I've almost complete all the missions but i don't get alot of time to play. I recommend y'all to check it out.

GTA3 was like topping the game charts by a HUGE margin for months on end, and it created more controversy than any other game ever. I wasn't aware it was possible to have lived through the last half a year and not have heard of it... :P

i don't own vice city but one of my friends do, and i played it over to his house one day and i thought that the game was pretty good, not that you can kill cops and stuff, but the fact you can steal all kind of vechials, and the graphic was fairly good.

I'm with TeeKay on this one...


I'm having trouble finding this kind of game amusing of any sorts...But that's just me. I guess I just "can't" imagine killing cops, stealing cars, f***ing prostitutes and being in the mafia , even if it's just a game, as being fun...lol

i havent got it yet. i only rented it

but i made it to the 3rd island. i didnt complete all the missions, and i cheated a bunch... my fav vehicle is the helicopter. its funny when it crashes....

i played it until i got to 92% then started it again because i was bored with it and wanted to play the missions,my 2nd time through i m 66% thats in about 4 days,lol,i have 100 packages,35 ramapages,but im jus gunna leave it alone for a while now because i cant b bothered doin firefighter missions etc to get 100%.great game overall but:D

I have GTA:Vice City and it is awsome. Yeah killing people can be boring after doing it for hours. One thing that makes it fun is that you can do wheelies and stoppies on motor bikes. The best bike for wheelies is the Sandchez because its a dirtbike and it is really easy to control, just start to drive, pull back and tape the 'X' button and steer, you can do wheelies for over 50 000 feet straight. The best bike for stoppies is the faggio because its front wheel drive so all you have to do is get a bit of speed, press and hold the brake and hand brake(R1, square) for a few seconds as you push forward, let go of the brakes and hold the gas, while you hold the gas you just got to regulate yourself with the direction buttons, you can get over 800 feet straight. Doing wheelies and stoppies is not completely pointless because you get money depending on how far you go.

I told my brother it was a bad idea to buy the game. When I played GTA3 i got bored really fast. I also think that GTAvice city is just like the 3 one, just different characters and the looks on the car, and some new ones. I don't really like the game. Its the same as #3. In my opinion

Finally finished it 100% today:d get lots of kool stuff infinite ammo,2 times the amount of damage your cars can take,3 bodyguards to go about with you,a funny new t-shirt:D:Dqualityyyyyy:cool:

I in fact OWN Vice City. IT truly is a wonderful masterpiece. I own 6 houses both in vice point and downtown. I have just began Death Row (Kent Paul). I only like the game for the ablility to ride PCJ-600(s) and fly helicopters. I have done the missons for the Cubans And the Hatians. I finished Diaz. and completed Avery's Two Bit Hit.
