Is there a relation between each FF game that has been out? The only thing I notice similiar is the map which they all look the same. So I am assuming its the same world but its old as hell.

Nope. Each final fantasy has its own storyline and its own character. They are all fairly different from each other.

Most people would say that Final Fantasy games have no relation other than name and game system (magic, summons, mechanics, etc).

Personally, I've fit them all together in my own way, but I'm sure it would be unpopular to others at best.

They all have different plots and characters, but like Terra I, also, think that they have pretty strong connections. Someone once asked me if they could understand VII without playing the other six, and I laughed and said of course. That's the beauty of the series, you can understand each game on an individual basis, but if you have played them all, you understand how they fit together.

the name cid is in all final fantasies.........................he always plays an important part............. just think to urself when did u encounter cid in the final fantasies u have played & u will notice he is in all :P so there is a little relation o also chocobos

Exactly! Thats why I think its the same world just that Square soft boosted up the time period from Medival times up to the Techno future. Wish they stuck with the Medival times. It was much fun.

Well. Cid and Chocobos are not in all of the FF games. They are not in the first game.

The map is good. And the creatures if you believe in evolution. Who'd think humans, chocobos, moogles, and FLAN can all evolve on different worlds? I mean, one world can evolve FLAN, but two? Never! heheh, or something similar *Knows flan is not in all games.*

I think they only are related by the summons and chocobos and moogles. Plus Cid! They are usually very different games which is why I didn't like 8 as much as some because it was so not final Fantasy. If it was a whole different game i would of been cooler. But it was still good.

cid and chocobos are in nevery ff game ever and will always be in them its just something that squaresoft does the maps are somewhat simuler but not to much it really has one main connection they all rule




p.s. ive played ff 5 and 6 and ive beaten ff7 a few times and i still dont understand everything lol
