The music sounds like John Williams, I thought it was E.T. for a bit, but I couldn't find this on the ET album.

Have no ideia either but it actually sound like John Williams, especially when they open the door and go to the roof.

I can tell you for sure that it's not from E.T. And I'm almost certain it's not John Williams though I do hear the similarity. Maybe it was scored for the Daily Show.
