To elaborate, La-La Land cannot release it because they're only allowed to do expanded presentations of albums that have been released in the past, but since "Batman & Robin" never had a score album, just a cue on the song album titled "A Batman Overture", it doesn't qualify.

Returns is coming in November, and Forever is still possible since it did have a score album.

I've got my PayPal ready to go for this album along with Krull. Funds finally got transferred last night.

To JHFan: Actually that's not entirely true. While they would not have released it as an expanded Archival Edition, they could still release it. Look at Godzilla. The soundtrack had 2 score tracks,
but they released the complete score for it.



I should have been more specific, referring to these Warner Bros films, since Godzilla and ID4 both fell under Sony Music.

I try to post lossless for everything now just because its about sharing and people are either going to buy it or not but by posting lossless I also help people by saving them from ripping it to lossless for themselves. To me buying is about supporting labels and owning it in your collection so people will not simply avoid purchasing something because they get it in lossless online.

And that I'd rather save my time and bandwidth doing Mp3 than lossless. Some people prefer Mp3, some people prefer lossless. For me, I can't hear the difference between 320kbps and lossless. So I go with Mp3. I don't care if you can show me waveforms that say otherwise. Technically there is a difference.

I sent my PayPal order for this and KRULL, which rounded off was $55 total with shipping. For me it was about $57 because of the conversion from Canadian to U.S. I got a little messed up because my order went past the 300 character limit in the message you send with the money, and I had to start pulling out words and spaces to get all the important information in, like for instance, my address!

I ordered Krull but I wasnt in a hurry to order this one considering the high price for only one disc previously unreleased. Krull at least has the proper re-mastering that makes it worthwhile.

i agree with album everyone that Mp3 320 is more then enough to tide people over.

if someone wants a lossless rip, i'm sure that if they wait, it will eventually pop up. hopefully, this edition sells so well that another wave is issued.

as for lossless replacing or making someone not buy a score... i think considering the hardcore nature of film score enthusiasts, it can only hold you over as most of us want the damn CD in our hands.

also, for me, lossless rips helps me not pay outrageous prices for things. i have a perfect lossless copy of PREDATOR and am waiting for a decent price decent condition version to pop up for buy

As for me Im happy with just about anything 128k to Lossless , I think lossless takes up too much room and I really dont notice much difference from 320k to lossless, guess its just me , or my age probably both. I guess another thing is I have 3 ipods and a computer that I listen to my music on, no big expensive stereo. Its all up to the listener if your happy Im happy. It all boils down to you and YOU like, if you like it who cares what others think, and I dont mean that in a bad way.
On the other hand I have lots of music on one of my ipods in apple lossless , ie: the Beatles Remastered Set.

now why did I say all this , dont really know just felt the need :) sometimes people like to say their piece.

There was a lossless version on here. But the uploader removed it. That likely explains why no one will ask for a lossless version. And sparktank, since the FLAC version was removed, I doubt another lossless version will be up anytime soon unfortunately.

This is my all time favorite film score and brilliantly presented here by La La Land. The quality is outstanding and out performs the Elfman Music Box version, which should be superior but has been affected by the loudness over quality bug and has far less material! but I do have two issues with the La La Land release. First is the odd fade during 'Batwing I' on disc 2, and second is that Cathedral Chase on disc 1 isn't the film version as the piano at 1:11 doesn't exist in the film. In fact I'd say it's more or less a duplicate of Up The Cathedral on disc 2. Other than these minor issues a fantastic release!
